We didn't have a lot of success with the company. It just seemed like we paid a lot of money and we didn't see a lot of change. Their price was competitive. They were nice but they just weren't great at getting them what we needed to have done.

When Trugreen took care of my lawn the lawn was green and dandelion free, however, they seemed to struggle to eliminate other types of weeds.  At one point during our service with them they had different service techs taking care of our lawn, which I had no issue with until they started complaining to us about their coworkers work on our lawn.  I called to cancel service and asked to not receive any additional marketing calls or mail, that was a year and a half ago and I still, to this date, receive annoying marketing calls and mail from them.  At one point I had even mailed back their junk mail and asked to be removed from their mailing list, just last week I received another piece of junk mail from them.  They have called me about 3-4 times since I discontinued service even though I have repeatedly asked them to remove my name and not call me, I am also on the national do-not-call list.  I'm frustrated with the overall lack of professionalism this company demonstrates and I'm not sure how to handle them in the future, I'm considering reporting my concerns about them to the Better Business Bureau as I'm unsure they will ever leave me alone without seeking additional help.  My personal experiences have lead to believe this company uses predatory marketing practices as a way to compensate for their poor employee culture which I experienced when multiple techs came to service my lawn.

Biggest issue I have is that they don't show up when they say they will. They keep sending me flyers to sign up for additional services but I am hesitant based on their track record. I am glad that I didn't prepay for the year. When you call in, you get a call center. They missed the first time due to snow but this time, the weather was fine. You receive automated calls telling you that they will appear.
I like their work and suggestions and they have kept the lawn in good shape.

MY advice if you use them; Keep the program you agreed and check it off as you go. They will try to get you to pay for more services than you signed up for. Get a second opinion on their expert recommendations.

I've used them for several years and I am planning on continuing my contract(s) for next year.

They're basically mediocre all the way around. I have no major complaints, but there isn't anything special.

They were the worst.  They were awful people.  It only took them like 4 minutes each time they came.  They came and then were gone.  After I found out how much fertilizer they used on my lawn (couldn't have been more than $10 worth) I thought why am I paying them $49/application.  I used the service all the way through September and then I told the guy that I wanted to cancel.  He said he didn't handle that.  So, I called the office and told them to cancel.  Three weeks later the guy was out spraying stuff on my lawn again.  They kept sending me bills for stuff I told them not to do.  Then they started trying to collect for all of that.  I was having people calling me every three or four days from up the chain of command.  I finally had a woman call me from Philadelphia and she said that she was the head of quality control and she would like to talk about my experience.  I told her the situation and that I wasn't paying for work when I told them to stop doing it.  She called me back three or four times and I said the same thing that I didn't need to talk to her and to stop sending me bills.  They finally did stop.  I talked to some of my neighbors and they said they had somewhat of the same experience.  We've all been unhappy with the fact that we couldn't stop the service because they just kept coming back when they weren't suppose to.

They keep the yard and the street that they take care of well maintained.  I will continue to use them in the future.

They do a pretty good job; they yard always looks good. They just leave a hanger on the door that says they have come and done a treatment so I don’t really deal with any people. We don't call them to come out at a certain time; they keep their own schedule.

It was fine until the tenant that I had living there canceled the services because they were not organic. TruGreen never informed me of this and they would not provide detail as to when the service was canceled and had no record that it was stopped by the tenant, only bills. The last person to call me was so rude and refused to even try and figure out when service was stopped to confirm that all of the applications I was being charged for were actually performed that I ended up paying all of the bills they were trying to collect on. However, I will never use their services again due to the unprofessionalism of the "Customer Retention Manager" who treated me as if I have committed a crime. I would NOT recommend their services to anyone, there are cheaper options and TruGreen's customer service could not be worse.
