This was not the first job The Artisan Shop has done for me. And it won't be the last. About 2 years ago they built a cabinet to house all my audio and video equipment. It, too, was done perfectly. Again I had looked in furniture stores and found nothing that would accommodate all my stuff in the way I wanted. What I did find that would do ( but not well) was very expensive. They built exactly what I wanted for about half the cost of the things in the furniture stores.
They are extremely good craftsmen and very reasonably priced.

Well, at a glance, all looks just great. However, there is much we will have to "just get used to".
The stereo cabinet was built ( with all component dimensions available to Artisan) too shallow to accomodate the components.
The built in book case was installed improperly and we were told there was no way to correct the mistake.The lighting under the cabinets involved exposed wiring inside the cabinets and exposed transformers inside the cabinets. That should have been clearly described prior to the install, but wasn't. The switching for that lighting was done in a most inconvenient and impractical way. The transformers were covered at our request, but that impacted our cabinet space. We were given trim to try to cover the wiring, but no offer to do it for us.
The installers had cabinet knobs in opposing cabinet doors unevenly aligned. The oven cabinet, for which specs were availabe, was not built to fit and required an additional piece of trim which took two months to get done.
Much might have been avoided with bettercommunication with us as well as the general contractor, but that never happened.
Everyone was very nice, but for the price we expected a much better result.
We would have gladly paid someone else a premium to have it done right.
