This is part of the email that I sent (listing items of concern, another contractor had to be hired to fix entire drywall, including a ceiling demolition). In the large bedroom, there is a structural problem. One side of the closet is visibly crooked. This was obviously not shimmed and shaved or even leveled. Doors cannot be properly hung. There were also cosmetic problems including tape lines showing throughout room; texture near floor is not knocked down; soffit in bedroom is gouged and tape lines are visible; seam on far wall is bubbled out with large hump and tape showing; tape at bottom of wall is clumped and hardened with mud; drywall around door is loose, not screwed into stud completely; and texture spots where smooth (no texture showing). The bathroom is very very concerning. The structural problems include, the entire tub surround is bowed and will need to be redone in order for tile to go up. Large hole between tub and wall was left with no mud, tape or texture. These were problems covered by masking and plastic sheathing. There is a very bowed wall that was not shimmed and shaved, preventing tile to be laid correctly. Other cosmetic problems are that the entire soffit has deep jagged gouges and the tape line is so prominent that it appears that there was a razor blade taken to it; large areas of tape are coming through paint on wall; tape lines are showing throughout room; large clumps of tape and mud are preventing molding to be installed; drywall around door is loose. The small bedroom had cosmetic problems, as well. Tape lines showing throughout room; drywall around door is loose; divot in top of wall (shows a "V" at top of wall where it meets the ceiling). The family room cosmetic problems include a large bow in ceiling; tape lines showing throughout; seams on walls are visible; tape bubbling on ceiling; area going into laundry room on ceiling isn't textured completely (looks as if it was cut with razor blade). Lastly, the patch job that was supposed to be fixed on Tuesday is clearly not fixed. The second coat of mud was put on (still very visible bump on the wall) and the texture was added when mud was wet so texture fed into the mud. The bull nose on the existing wall wasn't removed (or asked to be removed) and Andy indicated that is why it didn't transition well.
Description of Work: Basement finish. Drywall install to texture.
