Upon payment in full, Skip Winne gave me his word that he would return and make corrections to his cabinets which were covered under the contract. These are our unresolved issues: 1) Skip was to build my closets without doors (they could be later added at additional cost). He built the closets to a depth of 16 inches when 24 is the standard. We can never add doors now because the closets are too shallow and our hangers don't fit and extend beyond the closet openings. The rods were radomly installed at varying heights and depths.2) The custom doors for my Subzero refers were installed improperly and did not cover the unit 3) the baseboard was not installed under my refers and was made too short in the bar 4) cabinet doors do not meet at the center leaving a space where you can see into the cabinets with the doors closed 5) Several of the doors appear to be warped 6) The upper shelf was left out of my guest closet 7) Two sliding shelves were left out beneath my sinks 8) orangpeeling and runs in the stain were not refinished 9) He did not use solid wood as required, he put fake wood in the stereo cabinets and the plastic tape is lifting from the edges 10) Many of the cabinet doors need adjustment because they do not open or close properly. Skip was paid in full for his work and he gave us his word that he would return and make all necessary corrections. We began asking him to come out after we moved in during Summer 2008. He didn't show up to look at the problems until October and then asked if he could repair them in December. I agreed and he has never shown up, or called, in spite of our numerous attemts to contact him. Our construction supervisor and the individual who recommended we use Skip are well aware of the problems and would not use him or recommended his services to anyone else.
