One Hour Heating andAir Conditioning

Do not use this company. They are money hungry and unethical. They left our family without heat overnight in January. Our youngest recently turned two and he woke up crying so hard because he was freezing cold overnight. We also risked our pipes freezing. Here's what happened: Not long after moving to this house we began having One Hour come do our yearly maintenance on our furnace and AC. We bought a new AC through them a couple of years ago. They are always sales-y, trying to sell us things we probably don't need and sometimes a bit pushy, but nothing we couldn't deal with. Then just yesterday a tech came to do the yearly maintenance on our furnace, and we had a TERRIBLE experience. This furnace has worked perfectly with zero issues for the entire seven years we've lived here. All previous techs told us that our furnace wasn't the most efficient because of its age, but that it was working fine. They always did the maintenance, gave a few recommendations, and left. This tech told us our furnace was life threateningly dangerous and tried very hard to sell us a new furnace that day. He told us all sorts of unverified things about this and that being burned up and worn out and leaking this and that, and that it was extremely dangerous. He said it would be manslaughter for him to leave us in our home with that furnace turned on. He also said we damaged our furnace by sometimes closing two of our 12 heat vents. His only solution for us was to sell us an entire new furnace, today. We aren't in the position to buy a new furnace at this time, but realize we may likely consider it in the near future. Ours works perfectly with zero issues, and all of his claims of "danger" were completely unverified, so we knew we didn't need to be pushed into a purchase in a day. We thanked him for the information, said we were not prepared to purchase a new furnace today, and that we wanted a second opinion. The tech would NOT take no for an answer. He turned off our furnace and left. Before leaving he told my husband how to turn it back on "at his own risk" but neglected an important step. My husband is not experienced with HVAC and without knowing about the missing step that the tech neglected to tell him, he couldn't get it turned on. So us, a family with small children including a two year old baby, slept all night in Colorado in January with no heat at all. Our house got very cold and our youngest (just turned 2 years old) woke up crying very hard because he was so cold and I had to hold him to warm him up again so he could go back to sleep. The next morning my Dad was able to help my husband over the phone and they found there was a third step to turning the furnace back on that the tech neglected to tell us. They got it on and it again runs perfectly as before. Learn from our experience and stay far away from this company and work with someone honest and reputable instead, who doesn't lie and leave families with babies and young children without heat all night.

They fixed the leak. There prices were exorbitant. $745 for a half hour job.
