Mac Electric has since I posted a negative review called me with very constructive dialogue. Mac has sent me a check for the outside services that were required to fix my swim spa. Much of the dialogue centered around the poor communication that involved the prime contractor Champion Windows. The mistakes made on the install were compounded by poor communication with Champion. Many of the issues could have been avoided with better project management by Champion. Mac Electric has since stood by their work and made amends. They value their work and relationship with the community. I appreciate them reaching out to me to help correct the situation.

In both cases Shannon gave a detailed estimate that he kept to, only adjusting it for some unexpected additional work. The work was performed on schedule and passed inspection without question. In negotiating with Fort Collins Utilities for the re-location of part of the main service, they went above and beyond and came up with a creative solution that avoided tearing up the back yard.

We were fortunate from the beginning to the end of the project to have the utmost professional electricians from Mac Electric do some extensive electrical work in a newly purchased 10 year old home. The project started with 3 email inquiries to separate contractors after searching Angie's List and two false starts with a couple of locally recommended contractors. Shannon and Michelle were on it from the start, quick response, committed scheduling, and invaluable advice on what could be done and how after listening intently to what we wanted. The bid was clear and informative with options we could consider easily. There was no doubt after our initial discussions we found the and quot;rightand quot; company.Josh was the consummate professional, he thought the whole job and each installation through thoroughly, took his time, worked with us on every detail and decision. We felt a part of the project instead watching and hoping. Josh worked diligently with purpose, it was easy to tell he was committed to doing the best job possible.Cody had the unfortunate task to run the outdoor circuit on a 90 degree day which required moving a lot of landscaping rock, digging a trench, and then installing the line and outlet. Like Josh, Cody's work was meticulous and thorough. Shannon went through the whole outside project with us again before they started. All the installations were flawless!Excellent across the board is not a high enough rating for Mac Electric! We'll be calling them again for the future basement remodeling project.

All went as planned and the work was done well. We were so pleased with all the work and would highly recommend this company. They were receptive when scheduling the work, gave an estimate and the work came in as estimated. It's always hard knowing who to call when you are new to an area and once again Angie's List came through for us. Could not be more pleased with the service and work from this company.

A ground wire was dropped and my house was hit by lightning after their work was completed. I've gone back to ask them to come and check for the problem that they caused and they failed to respond. They claim they told me this in writing but they did not. In the end, I wish I'd never hired them and my house STILL has not passed final inspection for the work although I have had an electrician put a copper ground wire on the plumbing and the house. The ground in the box, however, is connected but free floating in the box which is a hazard. I will file a formal complaint with DORA this week when I schedule a final inspection for early September.

"Mac Electric was hired by this member to add circuits for a bathroom and kitchen update. Upon arrival to the jot site Mac Electric encouraged the member to perform several recommended code changes and updates per safety in this home as the existing electrical wiring was not in good safe condition. Due to budget limitation the member refused our recommendations to include panel upgrades and asked us to only complete the work specified. To remain in compliance with NEC code we had to add more outlets than member desired which we in turn added for free just to make sure the job was done to code as the member did not want to follow NEC code regulations on this project. Mac Electric never performed work in this member’s electrical panel although we asked to make corrections to it and the member refused. The member also refused to allow Mac Electric to come back and trim/finish the project for budgetary reasons. Mac Electric cannot take any responsibility for the finish of the project started as again the member refused to let us come back and finish due to lack of funds. We feel badly that the member was struck by lightning and has experienced additional electrical issues at the home and wish the member would have allowed us to complete all the recommended work needed to avoid future problems in this historical property. Mac Electric cannot take responsibility for the member’s choice to complete this project on her own. The electrical rough for her project passed inspection and that was the only part of the project Mac Electric was involved in. Please be aware that his member has undergone a complete name change and now has a new alias. This member left a lengthy review several years ago under a different name. Mac Electric will not be able to provide services to this member as she does not follow our professional safety recommendations and has brought other people to work on the electrical in her home making this a situation Mac Electric cannot help with due to liability reasons."

I received several quotes, MAC Electric estimate was one third of the other estimates. Electrician Showed up on time even though it was literally freezing outside. Everything went smoothly. He even explained to me how everything worked and gave me ideas and tips when doing minor repairs myself. Everything came out excellently. I even received a call from the office to ensure that I was happy with the results .

They were willing to work withing my budget. Came to my house and recommended what the size heaters to install in each room.
they made a date for installation. Then the called and said that they could come a week earlier if I was available.
The company is very professional and very, very nice. The installer was very professional and cleaned after each installation.
I would recommend this company to any one wanting honest and complete work.

Josh arrived on time and was very professional, positive and efficient. The cost was one third the bid of the other company and took half the time. My wife is ecstatic, she has a list of new projects for them when we can afford them.
