He was very knowledgeable and explained everything that he was doing. He also provided me with some basic maintenance things that I can do to keep my system running as smoothly as possible.
I would absolutely use Darrell for any future garage repair issues that I have and would recommend him to anyone looking for repair.
He did a great job, showed up on time, worked efficiently and charged a reasonable price. I also enjoyed talking with him, and he showed me some tricks on maintaining the doors. What could be better than that? Highly recommended.
Fast, friendly, efficient and professional. Took the extra time to make sure everything was working properly after spring replacement.
I had Darrell install a new garage door opener on a brand new house in May 2014. I am not sure if I rated him at that time or not, but service, price, and responsiveness couldn't have been better.
Recently my tenant told me that the mounting bracket for the track had begun to pull away from the header over the door opening. I called Darrell and he set an appointment that suited my tenant's schedule. He repaired the bracket mounting and beefed it up so it wouldn't happen again.
Even though the installation was "out of warranty" by a couple of months Darrell still fixed the door at no cost.
You don't find that kind of customer service much any more.
He was on time, professional and did a great job at a fair price.
I would recommend him for this service.
I would like to echo the way KatiLyn V. captured the spirit and attitude of the owner of this business, Darrell Miska.
I was in a jam when one evening I managed to back my 1985 Bronco II out of the garage with the swinging tailgate open to the right hand side.....the tailgate was bent and really ruined , BUT I was more worried that the tailgate had bent the vertical rails on my garage so that it would not shut leaving full access to items in my garage. After a restless sleep overnight with the door open, I tried to get ahold of another good business for garages, but they were booked for a week out, perhaps being more focused on contractors rather than residential repair. Anyway, this company recommended Darrell Miska and his business. I called Darrell about 8A or so the next day, and he estimated he could meet with me at about 9:20A...he arrived at 9A, fully armed to tackle my problem and had a friendly and great attitude, comforting me when I was slightly freaked by the risk exposure to my property. Then he proceeded to do a total repair inside of a half hour, reinstating my garage door system to its state prior to my mishap.
I was so thankful that he could report so early, beating his estimate, being so friendly, and especially just getting a worrisome problem fixed. I could tell he had great workmanship.
If you ever have a need for garage door repair or installation, I would highly recommend Darrell and his company Full Service Garage Doors.
Let me see, if I recall, he operates from a nucleus of Fort Collins, but will service Wellingtion, Windsor, Loveland, and I think also Berthoud, but Greeley is out of his service area. I believe he focuses on residential issues of installation and repair, as opposed to servicing contractors. So if you are a residential customer and have an installation or repair need, he comes highly recommended.
I'll get my only quibble out of the way: Full Service's excellent website provides a way to contact them by e-mail, but they did not respond on Monday morning to an e-mail I sent on the weekend (I was told they checked e-mails on workday evenings). I would prefer that such e-mails be attended to as promptly as any other form of messaging.
Once I contacted Full Service by telephone the experience was first-rate from start to finish. I'm one of those do-it-yourself guys who researched the project thoroughly and thought about tackling it myself. But Darrell's rates were quite reasonable and his service prompt. Had I done the job myself I'd have saved very little money and would've waited much longer while parts were shipped. Even for a manly-man do-it-yourselfer like me, not having a functioning garage in Colorado in winter is no fun. (Especially when any delay would produce icy blasts from my spouse as well as from the weather.)
I wanted to upgrade the wire size and cycle life of the springs, and Darrell quickly researched the available options for me and found compatible springs that were stronger and longer-lasting than the originals, for very little extra cost. Full Service was able to come out the day after I called; Darrell arrived exactly on time, and had the job done in less than an hour. He also lubricated the garage door rollers and hinges, checked the door for correct balance, and gave me useful information about both the door itself and my garage door opener.
As a bonus, Darrell and I had a great conversation about US history and language while he worked. He's a personable and well-read man, and as a retired teacher I found it a pleasure to chat with someone having such a wide range of interests..
All in all, the work was excellent, and I'll be recommending Full Service Garage Doors to anyone in my townhome complex who asks.
