* Did not show up for several days
* Did not complete the work
* Cost more than 28% higher than proposal
* Unprofessional
The work was on a house I was purchasing, I took Craig to the house the day after I had it under contract (end of October). He took measurements and made a list of what needed to be done. At that time I told him I was closing on Dec 5 and was having carpet delivered on Dec 9. He said he would send me a proposal. I did not receive the proposal until Dec 2, based on the high estimate, I changed the scope of the work. On Monday, Dec 5, Craig took measurements again and did not do any work. He did not show on Tuesday (I called). He came for two hours late Wednesday afternoon (I called). He had a subcontractor come for two hours on Thursday (I called). I notified the realtor who had recommended him that I could not get him to show up and he quit on Friday. He did not complete the work and charged me 28% more than his proposal. I have to have another handyman come to finish the job.
