Overall it was an excellent purchase. There was a great followup and the process was very timely.

Gillian runs her business out of her home, by appointment. She doesn't have a showroom, but she has extensive piles of furniture catalogues and wood/fabric samples. We spoke before my appointment about what sort of pieces I was looking for, approximate size and how much I wanted to spend. When I arrived she had several ideas for me, and lots to look at. She was knowledgeable about the furniture companies and their work. I ended up placing an order for exactly what I'd been looking for - two dark-stained modern looking barrister bookcases that fit my budget. She kept in good contact via email and phone, and my shelves were delivered yesterday. I'm very happy with them; the quality was what I was lead to expect, and the color was perfect. I think they may have gotten scuffed a little in transport, but it should polish out, and that really doesn't have anything to do with Gillian (though she did offer to come look at it if I wasn't satisfied.) Gillian asked for half the cost down, and half at delivery, which worked out well for my budget. I had a good time with Gillian - she is personable and helpful and seemed to pick up on my style very quickly. I've been looking around the house, wondering what other furniture I should buy so I can go back to her!
