Insulation Service, Handyman Service
Contractor showed up with no contract, so I wrote one. He substantially underbid the job and he inspected it beforehand and it took him longer than estimated of four days that should have been 2 days. Part of the job was installed with the wrong type of insulation with no paper backing, but he didn't offer to fix it. Electrical fans were wired against manufacturer's recommendations, two fans on one thermostat, with no way to see the temperature setting. None of the insulation was stapled into place, so I finished that myself. At the end of the job he asked for a tip and asked to increase the bid amount. We settled up and I got a fine price, but I would have been happier if the job was well done. He could give me no recommendations beforehand, so perhaps I should have been more skeptical.
