Yes, I recommend this pro

Efficient and resolved all of our issues quickly. Went out of his way to help complete issues on inspection report so we could close on our house. Highly recommend.

His bid came in lower than other electrical contractors, but not by much. He did work for a friend so I decided to give him a chance. He's definitely not a salesman, in that you have to tell him exactly what you want. I really did not get many good suggestions out of him, but that's ok since I did my homework first.
I found a number of quality issues with his work. Some of the can lights were loose, very loose, basically just dangling in the ceiling. I had to point all of these out for him to fix. He did not use a hole saw to cut the holes for the lights so many of them were not very round, and in many cases, exposing drywall around the light trim. He did not install a fan brace for the ceiling fan. Basically if I had attached a fan it would have come crashing down. I had to point this out and it was like, ok, you got me. The bath fans he installed were not connected to the existing duct, and he didn't tell me so unless I checked I would have all sorts of problems venting moist air into the attic. He forgot to put a junction box cover on one of the boxes he installed. Essentially I had to quality check all of his work, which I really didn't appreciate at all. Then, he installed cheap trims instead of the exact trim model we agreed on. He admitted the mistake and got the correct trims. All in all it was a big headache to get him to do what we agreed to. He worked very fast, completing the work in about 2.5 days. He originally estimated a week, which would have been more reasonable given what I paid him.
What he did good: he did show up when he said he would. He addressed the issues I brought up, although some of the damage was already done and impossible to fix. He worked on good faith and didn't require a down payment. I think he's probably a good electrician but he needs to work on quality a bit and be a bit more forthcoming. Lastly, his assistant worker was not friendly at all.
