Mr. Electric of Longmont

I agree with the previously posted B reviews for overpricing and with the F review somewhat. Their electricians do good work but they really have no control over their electricians, pricing, and "under-the-table" side jobs so don't be surprised if you get ripped off. I will be looking for at different electricians in the future.

BAD, Inconsistent Pricing and Price gouging! I phoned this company and Eric picked up the phone, I explained the problem, we knew what the problem was, and Eric quoted me $198.00 a standard flat diagnostic rate just to find the problem and then more $$ to fix the problem. I asked him if he charged hourly since I am friends with folks who know Roy (he also works as an electrician at this company) and they told me that this company charged hourly plus they had this company do some work for them and the cost was under $100 to find and fix the problem. I mentioned this to Eric and he said the owner would call me. No call from owner! We found another electrician through Angie's List.

We needed to have a duplex outlet installed in our unfinished basement. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled and performed the work in a very professional fashion, taking about an hour and 15 minutes. My only complaint is the price, $194 after a 10 % Angie's List discount. The materials cost couldn't have been much (maybe 15 ft of Romex, a duplex outlet and box and some wire nuts.) Although I was very satisfied with the quality of the work, I will shop around next time to see if I can get a better price.

Overall, from the phone call to the service appointment, everything went very easily and smoothly. I really trust Mr. Electric.

Washer/dryer lost power. Mr Electric came out the next day, determined that the wall socket had failed, got the part and was done in less than two hours. Had to muscle a stacked washer/dryer out of a very small cabinet and back in again. Was completely professional, prompt, and courteous.

They seemed expensive and quoted me $800. They were punctual, professional and very friendly. I may not use his services in the future.

Roy arrived on time and got straight to work on the laundry list of items I wanted him to address. The work was done well and he was easy to get along with. My only nitpick is that he didn't really discuss the cost of the work with me before he started. Thankfully, though, when he was done the total turned out to be reasonable.
