Fixed my 8 year old vacuum up very nicely, on short notice and informed me when complete. Was very helpful and personable. Answered all of my questions.

I also ended up buying a small step vacuum that I've enjoyed so much I went all over my house vacuuming persian rugs after I was done with the stairs. Was great for the couches too!

Highly recommend going here if you have vacuum needs!

Total charge for almost an hour's work?  $3.50 for the new belt.  I argued that he'd spent more than half an hour with it and had gotten it back in working order.  He said he couldn't guarantee how long the solder joints would hold, it didn't look "pretty" and he couldn't  charge me for it.  Amazing.
While he worked on it we talked about canisters vs. uprights, and fancy machines with balls inside vs. vacuums with disposable bags.  I thought all his opinions were well-founded.  What I liked the most was I never felt like he thought he had a vacuum repair monopoly in Longmont...unlike the other store on Main Street.

Mike is AWESOME!I brought my vacuum in because it wasn't sucking so well as of late, and where some retailers might have seen this as an opportunity to sell me an expensive new machine, Mike checked it out while I watched and let me know that it just needed to be cleaned. I came back a few hours later and the work was done on-time and very much to my satisfaction. He even replaced a belt at no extra charge.I highly recommend Main Street Vacuum, and one day when I win the lottery and I'm going to buy a Dyson, I'll do it here!
