As of 12/25, the hard wood floor has been installed for 2 days. Now that the floor is installed, it's nice. Getting Home Solutions to install the floor was a nightmare. Took Home Solutions 3 weeks to get the installation scheduled for Tuesday, 12/16. Installer arrived on 12/16 and left without doing anything. He said he didn't have the proper equipment to do the installation. Another installation crew came out on Thursday, 12/18, removed the carpet in the dining room and hallway. Found floor still had some original laminate. Crew left after removing carpet saying the original laminate needed to be removed and they could not continue until the laminate had been tested for asbestos. Also said the floor would need additional prep work for approx. $200 more to "level" the floor. Spent over $300 on same day asbestos test. Sent asbestos results to Home Solutions and installation was scheduled for Monday, 12/22. Installer came out on Monday, 12/22. Looked at the original laminate and said it didn't need to be removed. He installed the hard wood over the original laminate and without additional prep work. Floor looks great.

Carpet installation was scheduled for 12/24. Installers arrived and 1 walked through the 4 rooms that are to be carpeted (living room, 3 bedrooms and 1 hallway). Installer called Home Solutions complaining about having to move furniture. We paid Home Depot an extra $150 to have the furniture moved for the new carpet install. Installer was so obnoxious and unreasonable that I asked him to leave. I called Home Solutions and Home Depot and expressed my frustrations and displeasure with the whole experience we've had with Home Solutions. Carpet installation is now scheduled again for Monday, 12/29. Home Depot has had our money (paid cash) for 4 weeks and still no carpet. I'll never use Home Depot again because of Home Solutions abysmal lack of service.

The order was made 10/06/2013. They only did the installation after much pressure from me and Home Depot, three months after the order. There were supposed to be 3 interior doors and one was missing. They attempted to install one interior door but it was too big (because they were trying to install the utility room door on the linen closet) and so the installation was not done. The linen closet door has been reordered and we don't know when it or the utility room door will be installed. So, the exterior door and coat closet door were installed and the other two are in limbo. Home Solutions will not answer phone or return calls and Home Depot is not providing enough support. Over 90 days and a relatively simple job is not done but they required payment at the time of the order.

They work out of Home Depot.  We had a lot of problems at first but it was all rectified.  I can’t say anything bad about them because they came back and reimbursed us for things that were horrible.  The first man that they sent out botched up everything but they have since fired him.
