Prior to closing on our house this April, the home inspector told us we were missing a chimney cap. The seller of the home hired Building People LLC to install a chimney cap as a part of the inspection resolution. Building People LLC billed the seller $400 for the chimney cap to be installed. Earlier this month, a chimney sweep was inspecting our chimney and fireplace and told us we needed a chimney cap because we did not have one. We reached out to our realtor who then reached out to Building People LLC to ask why we did not have the chimney cap that they supposedly installed on our home. Building People LLC has yet to return any of our realtor’s phone calls.
