I was nervous a few months ago when I began searching for a builder to work on a house my mom owns and rents to my sister. The world of builders and contractors can be daunting and a little dicey sometimes especially right now at the height of the economy and building market. We hired Blue Ribbon Builders a family owned company and to say that we were pleased with the work that they did for us is a huge understatement. Keith, the owner, and Mickenzie, his daughter who runs operations are amazing all-pro. They and those they employee are reliable and the work they do is of the highest quality around. Their experience, their professionalism, their pricing, communication, their authentic down-to-earth personalities, and the fact that they truly take pride in and genuinely care about their projects and their clients definitely sets them apart. Our project wasn t exactly straightforward. First of all, there were a few of us in the family trying to coordinate decisions and communications on the project, some in town, some out of town; some who use technology to communicate (myself) and some who don t (my sister and my 91-year-old mom). Blue ribbon handled it all with grace probably wanted to tear their hair out at times, but never let it show! We started out only wanting the siding on the home replaced… Which then led to deciding the windows and trim on the entire home also needed to be replaced. Long story short, we ended up adding so much to the initially small project such as windows; blown in insulation; foundation and concrete work that have been a problem for decades; a new deck and steps that included an ingenious water drainage system that blue ribbon engineered; a build-out to enclose outside steps that lead to a basement complete with a storm door and lighting; a new awning; paint… And I m sure I m leaving something out. As the project grew and grew Mickenzie seamlessly incorporated the additions into their busy schedule, communicating every step of the way. She was always prompt with her estimates, so easy to work with, and it s no exaggeration to say I think she worked considerable magic and pulling it all together. Another awesome thing about Blue Ribbon Builders is that they have a very simple contract that s straightforward and clear. We also loved that they offer options to manage their subcontractors when subs are needed Blue Ribbon will oversee their work and manage their schedule, or, they extend the option for the customer to do the scheduling and oversight in which case they offer a substantial discount. Pretty cool. The house turned out beautifully. Beyond the skill and impeccable quality of the work that they performed for us, the people at Blue Ribbon Builders are just good people. They are considerate, have a great sense of humor, run their business with pride and integrity, and are such a pleasure to work with. Their pricing is fair, and from what we ve experienced there s no job too big or small for them to jump into. We will be using them in the future for projects on other family members homes and would enthusiastically recommend them to anybody!

Mickenzie's communication is also above and beyond what you would expect. She cares and that's the key. Wish there were more business's and people like Blue Ribbon builders in the world!!!

I knew nothing about remodeling and they were also so patient with me. They made me understand the cost and the labor. They accommodated changed during mid project. Great guy overall!
