I do not recommend this company to anybody. I hired Germani as a contractor to lay tile in our kitchen and bathrooms. She fired her original sub after his 1st day of work without telling us, despite the great work he did. She then allowed other subs into our house to re-bid the job without our knowledge the following day. After several discussions with the new sub to complete the job to my expectations (tile under appliances and to remove cabinetry trim), she told him to not listen to me and to do as she said. It turned out she did not have transportation, so we were responsible for picking up additional materials as her material estimates were significantly low. Germani demanded final payment before the job was complete (tile missing, grout missing, toilets left uninstalled) and barged into my girlfriend’s place of employment and caused a scene. She placed the blame on us for her new sub-contractor not getting paid even though we paid half of the estimate as a down payment. Germani insisted that the incorrectly installed tile and the additional work we need to do to finish our project was our responsibility. Germani threatened to place a lien on the property if we did not pay her, even though the project was still incomplete. As Germani’s LinkedIn profile indicates, she has experience in garnishments and liens. Since she knows how to play the game and in order to avoid spending more time and resources fighting a bogus mechanic’s lien, final payment was negotiated as a percent of project complete.
