Express Hardwood and Flooring did an AMAZING job refinishing and installing a small section of new hardwood in the main level of our new home! We could not have been happier with their level of service, response time, pricing and most importantly- a spectacular finished product! We have been recommending them to friends who are looking for new floors or to refinish the ones they already have!

The crew was great. Quick, efficient, careful and fixed problems unseen before the demolition. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Express Hardwood and Flooring. Cristiano, Fernando and Junior and the whole crew were great to work with. My floors are gorgeous. They took care to make sure everything was just right. They even wiped things down when they were done. They covered all my cabinets and countertops before starting. With the dustless system, there wasn’t nearly as much mess as the last time we refinished the floors. Also, the day before they were to start the project, our powder room flooded and Cristiano came and took care of everything. Even with the unplanned replacement of 60 feet of new floor, they still finished the project on time. You won’t be disappointed with this company.

Cristiano contracted with me to refinish existing wooden flooring and replace almost 1200 sq ft of carpet with comparable hardwood flooring. The negotiated quote was reasonable and they finished the work in about 10 days including finishing. However, one small area on a high traffic and high visibility area of the living/kitchen space was substantially depressed and I wanted that fixed. Cristiano maintained that it was due to uneven subfloor (obviously it was due to over-sanding) and got the area refinished once again, but the issue just got worse. Cristiano acted understandingly and we agreed to tear up the portion of the flooring and redo it. This meant getting additional wood and acclimatizing it for over a week inside the house. After a week, the sub-floor was ‘levelled’ by inserting a cardboard sheet and the boards were re-laid for the defective portion. The whole floor was re-sanded and refinished once again. Ironically, the result was worse than it was earlier. Cristiano got a different team to again re-finish the flooring once again and the new team managed to make it presentable. However, within a week’s time, that floor area started creaking and squeaking and there were noticeable gaps between many of the floor boards. After repeated calls and messages, Cristiano came over finally after 3 weeks and was in a foul mood complaining that it was all my fault asking him to redo the floor. His talk and actions were thoroughly unprofessional and shattered whatever goodwill he had built with me till then. He put a few headless screws on the loose floor boards and walked away. Though it was only a couple of weeks after finishing the flooring, he maintained that the gaps between boards were due to lack of humidity, which I don’t agree with. After that, within the next two weeks, I noticed that a board that he had put screws had popped up loose. I messaged him and told him that this needed to be fixed properly, even if it meant that I pay for it. He came over after ten days and put another screw on the loose board and said it was all fixed. His approach was unfriendly and curt. When I brought up the issue of gaps appearing in more and more areas, he insisted that it was the nature of the wood and I need to get a humidifier for the whole house. When pressed, he did not provide any solution for resolving the issues and instead he walked out angrily. A job that should have been completed in less than 10 days displaced us for over a month and the final result had been pathetic. Most importantly, Cristiano’s changed attitude when faced with issues due to his faulty work is inexcusable. He came highly recommended, but my experience has been very bad. I would be spending much more than what I probably saved to get the issues fixed by someone else who knows what to do. With such a bitter experience, I would not recommend him to anyone.

He was very knowledgeable and honest and gave very clear upfront expectations about the work to be done, while considering our wants. We had only originally been planning on doing the hardwood refinishing but the experience was so good in the beginning we asked if they'd be open to installing some other floors, and they helped us plan it and finished the job with not too much extra time. To be honest we may have been a little odd with some of our choices but we appreciate how much they managed our expectations while still coming up with the result that we were looking for. Overall very professional team, pleasure to work with and Cristiano was very communicative throughout the process, and most importantly we love the result!. We will recommend them and would absolutely work with them again. Thank you!

I recently hired Express Refinishing to refinish the existing hardwood in and install new hardwood flooring, and I highly recommend them! Christiano is very knowledgeable, he put time and energy into helping us pick out the right finish, and his crew was professional and courteous. Soon after our flooring project was complete, another contractor damaged the floors a bit. Christiano sent a crew member to repair the damage, and then followed up the next morning to make sure we were satisfied with the repair. Great work at a fair price with great customer service! Express Refinishing exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them.

Express refinishing crew is the best. Best price and highly professional team. Highlight is they do everything that need to get work done like moving furniture, reworking staircase etc. Also crew is punctual showing up for work and stay back till work is done. They make sure customer is happy. Impressed and you cant go wrong with this company.
