Southside Plumbing did an excellent job on a large replumbing job. Everyone we interacted with was professional, helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. We were very impressed by the depth of their expertise. They did a great job, and came back when there was one follow-up issue (not their fault). I highly recommend this company.

I worked for this company for many years and they do great work! They are one of the few companies that truly cares about their workers and customers. Call Southside Plumbing for any Plumbing issues and you won't regret it! Mark and Elizabeth Friesen (Owners and operators) are great people. I wish them the best of luck.

I called Mark at 2:15pm after trying to unclog the toilet myself since last night. Tried plunging, baking soda/vinegar, wire hanger - no luck. Mark was here by 3:00pm. Very nice, professional, and I would definitely use Southside Plumbing again.

After shutting down our sprinkler system for the winter, I noticed I had water leaking from the outside sprinkler pipes where I left the valve open to drain. I realized the ball valve leading to the outdoor pipes have a slow leak, gradually refilling the previously empty pipe. I contacted about five plumbers on Angie's list. Most quoted me $300-$400 to replace the valve. This seemed absurdly high to me, considering it was easily accessible and less than five years old. I would have attempted it myself, but I know absolutely nothing about plumbing and probably would've burned the house down.

I called Mark, and he quoted me a very reasonable $205 for a three-quarter inch valve or $225 for a 1 inch valve. This seems like a fair price to me. I was scheduled for a 10 AM appointment, and Mark called at 9 AM the day of the appointment to let me know that a subcontractor he works with, Kyle, would be heading out and would it be alright if he arrived early. I appreciated both a heads up, and the fact that Kyle would be on the early side of the appointment time. Mark and I had not specifically discussed using a subcontractor, but I didn't really have any qualms about it since this was a very straightforward repair.

Kyle replace the valve quickly and professionally, taking special care not to scorch the insulating wrap behind the pipes, as I requested. Once he completed the work, he pressure tested for the new valve and solder points.

The repair works great, was done quickly, professionally, and ear a fair price about 50% less than the competition. I honestly can't think of anything else one would want in a plumber. Southside Plumbing is now my go to provider for any plumbing needs, and I will recommend them without hesitation to friends and family.

Mark was able to come by within a day of the initial call, much appreciated. He removed the old leaking water heater and installed a new up-sized model (Bradford MI5036FBN) with no assistance. Cleaned up the area well. The next day I noticed some very minor gas aroma after each time the heater fired, and requested that he come back out to check on it. He did a few days later (I told him no hurry, it was very minor), and found and fixed a loose fitting inside the heater. No aromas since.

Everything from start to finish was great. During the estimate they were much more willing to listen to the problems we were having and what we needed fixed compared to the other companies we had been in contact with. The work was done fast, and once it was all completed everything worked like a dream.

My basement had been finished by the previous owners, clearly without a building permit. The the sprinkler shutoff valve had literally been walled in behind a bathroom shower, and was barely accessible by reaching between the finished wall and the foundation from behind the furnace and hot water heater. I always had to have someone do the system startup and turnoff each year because I physically could not reach the valve. This spring when the sprinkler tech came to do the startup, he could not get the valve to open, and suspected it was rusted shut.I called several other Angie's List sprinkler companies and plumbers, most of which have yet to return my calls. One sprinkler company did finally call me back, we set up an appointment, and then they cancelled after I had waited all afternoon for them to arrive. I then went back to Angie's List and found Mark and Southside Plumbing. When I called, he actually answered the phone (amazing!). He then arranged to come out *that same evening* to check out the situation. After he had looked at the problem, he had a simple and (to my mind) very reasonably priced solution, which would not require tearing out the finished bathroom shower. We made an appointment for two days later, he arrived on time and did the work himself in about 3 hours. Now, what has been a major headache for me since I bought the house 6 years ago has finally been fixed! He removed the old valve entirely, and rerouted the piping so the shutoff valve is now very easy to reach. Mark was extremely friendly and professional. I was so thrilled with the quality, promptness and workmanship of his service that I would highly recommend him to everyone. He will be and quot;my plumberand quot; from now on.

The experience has been great. He is a good guy. We've used him twice. We definitely liked that he was willing to fix things instead of replacing them, which was good.

Best plumber ever had! Have already referred him to 3 friends - rare to find a plumber that does such a good job and was dependable. Can't say enough good things about Mark, he is unquestionably worth the call!

I was out visiting my mom from VA.  I went down to the basement to get something and I found water spraying out from a copper pipel from a tiny hole.  I called Southside Plumbing since they were rated highly and were close to the house.  I called around 3 and left a message.  Mark, the owner who does his own work, called back in 5 minutes.  He agreed to come and fix it after the end of his workday.  He even provided a rough cost estimate without seeing the problem.  He said he would call back around 6 to 6:15 and he did.  He showed up and replaced the section of the pipe in about 45 minutes.  It turns out there was a bad section of pipe.  He says he sees this every once in a while in houses that are over 10 years old.  He was polite, professional and we couldn't have asked for a better experience under the circumstances.

A friend of ours gave the reference of Angie’s list and he had done some work for her.  He is a really nice guy and did excellent work.  He came in here and fixed the problem and he was perfect and ideal.  He was co-operative and if I have a friend who needs a plumbing job then he would be the first one I will be calling.

On a Saturday morning, my shower handle would not turn off the water.  I checked with Angie's List and found a plumber in my area.  He made an appointment for Monday.  As you see in the above description, he took care of the problem in under 15 minutes.
