RTP Roofing Co

This was the second roof RTP installed for us. The first time was great- the roof was perfect and everyone was so awesome. This time, the crew was still amazing and the roof is perfect, but Scott Ponzio was unprofessional, unreasonable and wholly unacceptable. It took him an entire year to finally get us scheduled for reroofing. During that year I would ask if he still wanted our business and he assured us he did, but we had to wait and wait. Finally he announced we were on the schedule, right after my husband and both had surgeries but we didn’t want to have to wait even longer. Afterward, Scott, who used to live down the street from us and had always been very friendly, began acting as though he had never dealt with insurance companies before and like this should be pocket change to us (the roof was over $32,000). He nagged and pestered and seemed to think his poor behavior could hurry along his payment. Our insurance company wanted proof of completion and Scott treated the agent very rudely and actually made the process take even longer by his unprofessional demeanor. He decided we were taking too long to pay and revoked the discount he had originally given us. I will not conjecture on why he was so profoundly obtuse, but suffice it to say we will be letting all our friends and neighbors know about our experience.

Scott from RTP liaised with both our insurance company and the enclosed-gutter company as well as with Douglas county.He was very responsive to our needs even though those changed a couple of times between the original quote and commencement of work. Work commenced within two weeks of contacting them for a quote, and final contracts were agreed by e-mail, with no money up-front.We understand all RTP roofers are employees, not subcontractors and that two of the 6-man team have 14- and 16-years with the company.We were present throughout the 2-day project and observed all stages of the work, which was completed to a very high standard, with no trash left behind after they left. The Douglas county inspector came out the day following completion and passed the work with no comment. Scott from RTP also come out to inspect the work after completion, and only then asked for payment.Would definitely recommend RTP.

Perfect result. In the past, Ray has twice identified the source of leaks, one of which was very obscure. In both instances, I would not have been surprised to be told I needed to replace all the shingles. But instead he advised me how to address the leaks myself. That kind of honesty is quite rare, in my experience!

RTP roofing has been in business for over a decade.  They communicate well and provide personalized service.  We were very happy with the quality of their work and their fair price.

They did a great job, they just did everything perfect.
