"First, we did not perform a service for [Member Name Removed] He bought my EPA/Neha canisters from the UPS store. He performed the test and returned the canisters too late to be analyzed correctly. [Member Name Removed] signed his forms on May 13, 2017. He then stated he ran his test on June 16, 2017 but that is crossed out too. He insisted we were lying , we said we never stated that. In addition, we did not put in his original mitigation system. We replaced his Fan ONLY RP265 on October, 13, 2014 We tried our best to help [Member Name Removed], but when people can't follow directions what can you do but give him a refund. [Member Name Removed] Lucero original testing form and invoice will be inserted into this response 7/17/17 when the business center opens on Monday. Thank you, Shelley, President Rocky Mountain Radon Control 303-980-1961"

This company is not very helpful and treats their customers very poorly. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a high quality product and respectful treatment.
"First [member name removed] is one of the many people affected by the flooding we have had the last week and to that I am very sorry. Unfortunately, [member name removed] is very confused. The most effective way to reduce radon is to go through the sump pit hole (see EPA/NEHA guidelines). The radon system and the sump pump are two separate systems. Radon systems remove air and the sump pump removes water. There is no way the suction from the radon system could affect the sump pump. If anything the radon system helps because it is moving air which would dry out water. I hope [member name removed] the best. Sincerely, Shelley Bronson Rocky Mountain Radon Control 303-980-1961"
During the buyer inspection phase it was discovered that the house's radon fan did not work and the levels of radon in the basement were over the acceptable limit. I decided to remove the fan myself and purchase a new one locally. I called around and the "radon specialists" in the area REQUIRED that I buy a new fan through them and it was mandatory that they install it. The pricing of these other contractors was outrageous and I decided buy a fan from Home Depot, put it in myself to quickly facilitate the final sale.
Yeah ... things aren't so fast sometimes.
I ran into problems right away. Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon ... you name it ... all needed 7 days to ship in a new radon fan. And, I really wasn't sure that the fan was defective in the first place. My testing indicated that it might be electrical.
When I contacted Rocky Mountain Radon Control, Shelly and Don were AWESOME.
Shelly patiently walked me through all of the potential "gotchas" as to why these moody fans fail. Shelly patiently took 4 additional calls and I STILL couldn't fix it. When I called back the 5th time, I told Shelly I was "done" and asked her how soon I could get someone out. Don, the owner, was dispatched to arrive early the next day.
Don and his Assistant arrived on time and proceeded to put in a new fan. When they were finished, I went to turn the power on and - wouldn't you know it - the new fan didn't work either. Immediately Don and his Assistant began troubleshooting and before long it was determined that the problem was indeed electrical. Don suggested some alternative wiring scenarios and I decided on the quickest and cheapest. After about an hour they had a new conduit and switch run to the fan location. It was then that Don suggested trying the old fan to see if it worked, and, sure enough the fan fired right up. Instead of spending $500, Rocky Mountain Radon Control saved us $250 by suggesting we keep the old fan since it worked fine. We really appreciated their high-integrity and can-do professionalism.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. We would not have closed escrow on the sale of my sister's property without their prompt actions. The house passed the new radon test -- which Rocky Mountain Radon provided for $40 including a final report within 24 hours. The house closed escrow on-time and without a hitch. Thanks Very Much, Don and Shelly of Rocky Mountain Radon Control !!
Fifteen minutes later, I was able to check with Don, and he had chosen the best spot for the system. He explained why he chose it and I agreed. They promptly went to work and a couple of hours later, he showed me the work they had done.
They used tarps on my floors to protect them. They moved things as necessary to reach where they needed to work, then put them back in place. They cleaned up after themselves very well. My only (very minor) complaint is that they accidentally removed the exhaust hose from my dryer, when they moved it, and we had to reattach it the next day.
I'd use them again if I needed this type of service.
I have a lot of peace of mind knowing that I had someone that was knowledgable about these dangerous indoor hazards. From what I understand Donny has been in this industry for about twenty years. It showed and I appreciate that. These things aren't something you mess around with. If you are going to pay the money to get a radon mitigation system or mold treatment, you need to pay someone that knows what they are doing!!
I will confidently refer Rocky Mountain Radon Control to anyone that has a need for these types of services!
