Manuel Miramontes

The owner, Manuel, was top notch, as were the materials. The price he charged was extremely reasonably. Manuel, however, serves as the sole salesman/estimator for this outfit, so he was not around during the installation. The family members he hired to actually install the product were something else! He left Luis in charge of the actual installation. While they initially did a good job, Luis balked at having to trim off the 3/4" overhang on either side of the sink. He argued and whined about having to do it. Luis turned on the shop vac -- presumably to clean up the granite dust -- but actually had the machine blowing the dust out all through the house. Then he proceeded to go out to his truck and got drunk. I called Manuel, who responded promptly and sent his workers home. He finished the job himself and did excellent work. Unfortunately, Luis came back -- even more drunk than before -- demanding that Manuel pay him immediately. Manuel had to forcibly remove him from the house. Manuel sent three relatives the next day to clean up at his expense. After about an hour, they complained that they had to clean so much of the house. We called Manuel and he had them continue. Right after the call, one of the women intentionally dropped a hurricane lamp, so we decided it was best if they left immediately. The day after the granite installation, we discovered that our garbage disposal did not work. Upon closer inspection, we discovered a spoon and a ping pong ball size piece of granite had been shoved down into it. Manuel, the granite and sink, and the installation of those materials were great, but the drama that came with his laborers was too much for us to consider recommending this outfit to anyone.
