The work was performed such that 1500 square feet of sod were damaged in the back yard, unnecessarily.  The owner of the company did not take responsibility for this mess, and after agreeing to cover the clay that damaged the landscaped sod with topsoil and seed it, neglected to follow up.  The cost of the repairs to the sod damaged by this company exceeded the repair cost for the septic work performed.

From the beginning, Todd offered excellent service. I initially called to have someone mark the location of our tank for the new owners. Linda from Todd informed me that it was a county requirement that the tank be certified prior to a transfer sale. Between the two of us, we recalled that they had been out to our home before to pump the tank, but it had not been within the prior two years. We scheduled for Todd to come and pump and certify the tank about a week prior to our scheduled closing. In the interim, Linda did some research in county records to locate the tank so that I could mark it for the guys, as we were anticipating 10" of snow over the weekend. No record existed, but Linda recalled that when they had been out previously, another firm had been out replacing the tank lid. I was able to call that company (Jim's excavating) and they were very accommodating in coming out and clearing the earth to reveal the tank lid. Joe from Todd arrived on time the day of our appointment. Unfortunately, the pasture was too muddy for his truck to venture into the field; however, he did do a preliminary inspection and found a couple of holes in the tank. He said that he would be unable to certify the tank in that condition. We needed a new tank. Of course, I panicked. We were scheduled to close in just 9 days. Joe called his boss *also his dad, i think* and the two of them thought they could get it done. The trick was to be able to get a county permit for the new tank in sufficient time. We agreed to a premium price that i'm sure reflected the urgency of our situation, but based on a few phone calls I made, it was within a range of reasonableness that made me comfortable that Todd was not gouging us. The original inspection was on a Tuesday. Todd had permits in hand and a new tank in the ground, signed off by the county, by Friday. It was a miracle. I'm convinced that Todd's stellar reputation with the county helped our cause. I will be forever grateful for their shared sense of urgency and dedicated to getting the tank in so as not to interfere with our scheduled closing date. Todd saved the day!

Our septic tank started to back up into the basement. We called John Todd, Inc. and they came out. They were on time and very professional and helpful. First the tech thought there might a problem with the leech field which would have required digging up the back yard. Then he found a blockage which he removed and then emptied the tank. He also gave us some tips on how to make the tank work better and told us what to look out for. It's been working great since with no more backups. We will definitely use them again and would recommend them very much.

JOHN TODD CO. WAS NICE TO WORK WITH. THEY CAME OUT VERY FAST WHEN WE WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH OUR SEPTIC TANK. I FEEL THAT THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, SEEING AS THE TANK ONLY NEEDS TO BE PUMPED OUT ONCE EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS.
