Jake of All Trades

It went well if one considers assignments went undone.

Two appointments we mutually agreed upon in the span of one week were canceled by him within I/2 hour of his arrival. I do charity work daily and this inconsistent behavior short changed those in need.

Jay was prompt and completed the work quickly. To my husband's surprise and delight, no repairs to the wall were needed...a very professional job. We were happy, and have requested that he do additional electrical work for us.

We liked his ideas and asked him to give us a written quote. He scheduled a couple times, but didn't show. Once with the explanation that he'd driven by and it didn't look like anyone was there. When he did come a second time, he said that he couldn't do the drywalling, or the electrical. This was very frustrating and put us down the road in getting the project started. 

Jake did a terrific job and completed the project very quickly and without issue. We were thoroughly impressed with his attention to detail, his promptness, and his overall communication of costs and time required for the project. Everything was completed on-time and on-budget. Jake and his crew were professional, on time everyday and worked extra hours as needed to get the job done before the ground froze. This job sight was kept safe and clean every day.  This was really important to me since I have young children. We would work with Jake again without hesitation.

No issues to report.

I hired Jay after looking on Angie's List and my dad had also used him and raved about how good he was.  I asked if he could build some storage shelves for us in our garage and he said that he had recently done a similar project, and would send some pictures to show what he'd done.  It was what we had in mind and we agreed to hire him for the project.  Also, we needed our front and back gate repaired and the back gate project ended up being much more than we originally expected.  He needed to tear out the existing concrete-seated wooden beam and replace it in new concrete and then repair the gate.  He got his son and his son's friend to help him in the afternoon of the same day to get this accomplished and they did a fantastic job in a super timely manner.  The price paid for the project was fair and he really gives you what you ask for.
He is very busy because he is so good so you need to be patient to get on his schedule but he's worth the wait.
Overall, I really think Jay is an excellent handyman and I will use him again.

This is the third project I have been involved in with Jake and he continues to do really good work and at fair prices.

The work did require some assistance as the awning is fairly large, but he took care of it just like the other projects he has done.  He seems to know a little about everything.

Jake is very good.  He knows what he is doing and is very fairly priced.  He has since done other projects that went just as well.
