My husband and I are first time home buyers that were thinking about taking on a fixer upper in Wash Park. Don saved us from moving forward on what seemed like a dream fixer upper in an awesome location, but in reality was a $100,000+ job to make the safe/inhabitable. Don is a straight talker, very honest and is very thoughtful. He is a great listener as well-- he gives you the space to talk through all of your concerns and issues.
On our second home, he caught about $30,000 worth of repair issues that we are currently negotiating a credit for with the seller. He's a real life and money saver. He's worth every penny and then some!
"I especially enjoy working with first time home buyers. Thank you [removed member name]!"
He was very thorough, including actually going up on the roof, and taking pictures, all of which were included in his detailed report.
He also did a radon test, which included setting up the machinery 2 days before the inspection.
