Dave did a wonderful job painting our second bedroom. He was efficient, courteous, timely, and met every expectation. Our room looks great!!

Dave and his crewmember Dave did a very nice job on our walls. We will gladly use them for future projects. They were quick, the coverage on the walls is great and the lines are perfect! Dave also gave us some good advice for adding an accent to one of our rooms, and touched up several nail holes we had throughout the house for no additional charge. Without asking him to, he adjusted his schedule to squeeze us in earlier when I mentioned we had people coming into town soon to stay with us. They were also extremely pleasant to work with, not even minding our inquisitive toddler who tried to follow them around while they were cleaning up. We were extremely happy with the work they did for us.

It went VERY well. Dave and his crew are GREAT painters. Attention to detail was wonderful. They got the job done quickly. We could have never gotten done what they did in a few days. The job was beautiful when completed. We felt the price to be VERY fair and was much less than a couple of other bids we had gotten. Call Dave - he's a great guy - lots of fun and interesting to talk with.

Great! They were very neat. The rooms look really good. I appreciated how efficient Dave works so the job didn't get strung out over several days. He also sent me a text to let me know exactly when he would be coming.

Dave and his team were fantastic! They were always punctual, stayed on schedule, and did high quality work. He even went as far as to get me extra paint for the bedroom, which I painted myself to stay in budget. He and his team were extremely professional and very personable. If I ever need to hire painters for another project I would absolutely hire them again!

Dave is a top notch painter. His work is precise and perfect and his prices are very reasonable. He has been very flexible as we have tried different colors in our rooms and has even come back to repaint when we decided to change the color. Dave also gives good advise on colors, matching, and types and brands of paint to use, as well as information on what is current and popular. The results are excellent! I hired Home Detail Painting Company to paint my living room, dining room, kitchen and entry. I then added the bedrooms and bathrooms to tie everything together. Dave called to confirm the appointment, verified the paint types and his experience with the paint as well as the climate and how soon we could hang our pictures. Dave showed up on time and finished when he said he would. The rooms look great and the price was fair. Dave kept me informed of the progress and gave some very good suggestions on what match with the ceiling and what to match with the wall when the walls and vaulted ceilings had some unusual angles. I would highly recommend Home Detail Painting and Dave Starr based on the service and quality of work I received.

I purchased a house in Colorado while I was still living in Virginia.  I contacted Dave to do some paint work before moving in. The time frame was tight, but Dave worked extra hours to get the job done before the moving truck was expected.  Dave worked around flooring contractors who were also in the house at the same time. He also came back when the floor was complete to finish up the baseboards.   In addition to the work he quoted, he touched up other areas that needed paint and painted 2 doors leading to the outside. Dave is very professional, punctual and provides excellent quality workmanship.  I will be calling Dave back for future jobs.

My experience could not have been better. He returned my phone call, gave me a reasonable price and showed up when he said he would. I had trouble getting painters to return my calls and when they did their prices we high. I will use Dave for future jobs.

We hired Dave to paint half of the interior of our new home over the summer. He was friendly, punctual and worked very efficiently. He worked as quickly as possible to finish the job and return our home to working order. In addition to painting, he repaired the walls and trim as he went and they were in significantly better shape when he was finished. We were very satisfied with the work and hired him again this winter to paint the remaining interior. His punctuality, quality and efficiency ensure that we will continue to use him for any future painting projects.

Wonderful! Dave is punctual, personable and very talented. He suggested that we use glaze in our dining room since we have textured walls. The effect was exactly what I wanted. The dining room looks so much richer and has a Tuscany feel which was what I was hoping for. This project was actually two jobs. Dave arrived in October before our move from Florida and fit us in at the last minute for our bedroom and office so we would have it completed before the furniture arrived. After I moved in he completed the master bath and we talked about the dining room. After our floors were completed Dave arrived in February to complete the dining room. We live in Castle Rock which is a bit of a drive from his home but he was always on time with a smile. I enjoyed talking with him and looked forward to his arrival. I received three quotes for the three rooms and Dave was priced exactly as the other two however Dave suggested ideas the other two did not. My dining room is quite happy with my choice. In addition, my banister was originally a natural stain like the original floors. After the floors were completed it really stood out like a sore thumb. Dave suggested a stain to match the dining room glaze and floors and redid the banister at least twice just to get it right..without changing the price. He is a perfectionist and proud of his work and it shows.

Dave was great.  This was a small job, but he approached it with the same professionalism that I would have expected for a much larger engagement.  He was prompt, professional, and personable, and I will certainly re-engage him in the future.

Dave did an excellent job.  He was able to remove difficult wallpaper, then paint our bathroom.  His price was very fair.  He also gave us valuable advice on how to paint a room we did ourselves.  We highly recommend Home Detail and Dave Starr.

They did an excellent job.  They were punctual, clean, friendly, and the work looks great.  They were able to work around other projects that were going on at the same time and they even repainted the baseboards after we had our floors refinished and stain was all over them.  We compared three different painters for price and all the estimates were fairly close.  Dave's estimate was slightly less so we went with them and we were not disappointed.  We will definitely use them if we need painters again.

Dave Starr and Steve were professional and personable. One or the other of these painters was present until the job was completed. We did not feel that they left to tend to another project while completing ours. Our project was small by most standards. We just had the floors re finished so we were nervous about any damage that might occur but not to worry Dave and Steve were very careful, used dropcloths everywhere to protect our "new" floors. We are very pleased with the outcome of this project.

They were quick to respond to phone calls about giving an estimate and gave me a start time range that did turn out to be a little earlier than they were able to get to me. They showed up on time and were very responsible and clean. My project was very labor intensive and they did a great job!

Dave is not only extremely professional, but is an outstanding painter.  Dave's bid was very competitive; however, it was not the only reason we opted to go with him.  I felt Dave stood out over his competition, because of how knowledgeable, thorough and detailed he was during the bidding process.  We hired Dave to repaint our first and second floor, which did include a two-story Foyer and Family Room.  He was not only prompt, but very easy to work with.  He definitely went above and beyond numerous times throughout the job.  When it came to making a decision on colors, I am the worst!  I would literally have him start a wall, then stop, then go get another sample, and then repeat the process.  Dave never once lost his cool.  He was so patient.  He never made me feel rushed or pressured.  Dave clearly was willing to do whatever it took to make sure I was happy with the finished product.  His lines along the adjoining walls, ceilings and trim were perfect.  In addition to the walls, he also repainted all of my floor trim; a job we had planned to do ourselves, simply because it made for a better paint job at no additional charge.  I am so glad I let him talk me into it, because the trim looks brand new and makes the walls that much more beautiful.  Another area where he went above and beyond was in our Family Room.  He not only cleaned the windows that were 20 ft. up, but replaced all the batteries in our blinds and remotes so they would work again.  Dave kept to his schedule and was always here when he said he would be.  He was not only very detailed, but was thorough with his cleanup.  I recommend him highly and will definitely use him again in the future.  Our house looks amazing!!

Dave gave me a reasonable quote came in and did the work well but quickly and was responsive to what I needed.  He was good about informing me about when he would be there and calling if he got held up.

We were very happy with the result.  Dave and his colleague performed the work in a professional and timely manner.  They were not happy unless we were happy with the result.  We will be using them again for future projects.
