They were great. I had also called them as a second opinion after another electric company had given me a $1300 quote for repairs. They assured me that I did not need a whole new electrical service as the other company had claimed. Their surge protector was less than half the price the other company had quoted. There was one night that they missed the appointment, but they were very apologetic and rescheduled at my convenience. Their prices are the best of the electrical services I have had. I was very happy with them and would certainly use them again.

Upon arrival Chris Hinton, Jr. was very friendly and personable. I took him through the details of the job, showed him around, and explained the work that I would need. Our visit took about 15 minutes as Chris took several phone calls re: other [commercial] jobs. As we parted, Chris asked for my e-mail address so that he could e-mail the estimate to me. After a week, I received no estimate. I called and e-mailed Chris and received no call or e-mail back. He's lack of responsiveness reflects very poorly on him and his company. If you are looking for someone to do residential work; look elsewhere.

Very well. The work was done quickly, for a reasonable price (less than I had expected). I didn't even have to be there; the day we had scheduled it snowed, and I couldn't easily drive to the property. They could and did, and did the work. Normally this wouldn't be a complaint, but it took me a week to get my invoice, which in this case I needed to prove to an inspector that the work was done. But when I told them, they got on it, figured out how to email it (no fax at home) and all was well. Highest recommendation possible.

They did a very good. The price was reasonable and they cleaned up well.

For the most part I am happy with the work and would use Hinton again. One point of frustration was that I discussed and walked the whole job with one individual, who prepared our estimate, but had to start over from scratch with the actual electricians performing the work. Additionally, more time could have been spent analyzing the documentation I provided to the electricians. This would have prevented a delay and additional expense incurred to swap a single pole GFCI for a two pole unit. Also, during the job, the electrician shut off power to the house three times but only warned me once, causing a significant interruption to my work. For these reasons I gave a "C" grade for professionalism.

Nowhere nearly as painful as I expected. I was so impressed with his work, I asked for an estimate for a project I am planning.

I called after hours and got Chris Hinton Jr on the phone and he was out the next morning to give me an estimate. Within an hour they sent someone out to do the job. They were both clean-cut and courteous. I thought the price was fair and the work was excellent.

I am very satisfied with the work performed. They were efficient although I thought the price was a bit high. I would recommend them but with caution over the price.

Chris was personable on the phone. He came out the same day, right when he said he would. He isolated the issue and quickly resolved it. He was forthcoming with information and advice on our electrical system in response to questions. We were very satisfied, and the price for the service call was reasonable.

I needed to find a electrical company that was able to give me an estimate and complete the work in 10 days and they were able to accomplish this. They were polite, professional and clean. Would hire them again.

We were very happy with the work and we even plan on having them back to work on our living room.

Hinton electric was on-time, fast efficient and completed the project well within expectations. Further, I layered on a second project upon arrival and Hinton Electric only charged me the prorated time that was spent to complete the second project. I was very pleased with Hinton and will use them again.

OVERALL, WE HAD A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYONE THAT WE WORKED WITH AT HINTON ELECTRIC. THE TWO OWNERS AS WELL AS ALL OF THE INSTALLERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AS WELL AS VERY FRIENDLY.

MY HUSBAND AND I FOUND THAT HINTON ELECTRIC WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL, COURTEOUS, AND EFFICIENT. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN NEED OF A ELECTRICIAN.
