Was sold on the Current Safe Entire Electrical Hazard Evaluation after watching a spot on 9 News. The cost of the evaluation was "half off" but still over $800. After completing further research, similar whole-home electrical system evaluations cost around $200 from well-reputable electrical companies on Angie's List and other licensed electricians. Greiner might use more high-tech gadgets and thus the cost is higher, but from other reports we have researched, it seems that the major problems can be discovered by other whole-home evaluations without the use of such gadgets. Just our opinion. As a follow-up to the Current Safe Evaluation, we decided to proceed with Greiner to complete the work from our report (e.g. outlet replacements, new outlet, switches, etc.). All of the work was completed satisfactory and to our expectations. Plus, the electrician, Steve, was very knowledgeable on our "dated" electrical system and he provided great resources for us to use for future minor fixes or simply replacing buttons as needed. Steve was also very thorough in his work and even performed extra electrical work outside of the original scope of services for free, which we are extremely grateful. We think it is somewhat of an issue dealing with a salesperson first before dealing with an electrician, which caused some communication issues before the work started, but it wasn't a big issue in the long-run as all of the items were addressed appropriately. It just might be easier for the customer to discuss issues directly with the electrician instead of going through a salesperson. In all, we would use Greiner again for electical work, but might have gotten other quotes and recommendations on electrical system evaluations before chossing Greiner.
