It was okay. They totally underestimated the move. We ended up having to take two days, not one; two trucks, not one and it was double the cost of what we were quoted. The price was fair, but we ended up paying double because the owner underestimated what it was going to take to move us. The workers were great.

The process was fabulous. Crew arrived on time, after calling ahead. The two-man crew worked steadily and loaded all items from both pick up locations. They delivered all items to the home. The crew was prompt, courteous, and exceptionally hard working. Couldn't ask for a more perfect move.

Absolutely AMAZING service! These guys were hard working, polite and everything else I could have wanted. Marcus, Rick and Javier moved my mother-in-law to a third story apartment in three hours and I would hire them again without a doubt. Javier even brushed the snow off of her car. I would feel comfortable with any of these men in my home even without being present. You can't beat their prices either! Absolutely NO extra charges, they are the real deal! Don't hesitate they are the best you can get!

All 3 men were very professional and pleasant. They showed up on time and wrapped all the furniture.. Nothing was broken and they put together all the bed frames in the new house.. I should have marked or remembered which mattresses went with which bed frames but that was my fault. I'm sorry I didn't have donuts or pizza for them because they worked 6 straight hours. The price was better than I expected and we were completely moved in faster than I would have thought possible. Great experience

It went well, there could have been more prep on our part, but that did not slow the guys down. I was disappointed to see they charged the same hourly rate for drive time (an hour from one house to the next), but other than that, it was a great overall experience.

The work was done fast and the furniture was reassembled right away.

They arrived on time at 9:00AM with three men and a 36' truck and moved me to my new location - the move was completed at 11:56AM, within the three hours of the coupon purchased.  When I talked to Nick about the move, he acted like he was unaware there was an Angie's list coupon available, but agreed to the terms of the coupon, stating if the move went over three hours, the additional charge would be $125 per hour, paid in 15 minute increments.  He stated they normally require a 4 hour minimum.
When the crew arrived, the person in charge was also unaware of an Angie's list coupon and called to verify if he was to collect money.  He talked with two gentlemen, including Nick, who I had visited with before the move, and it was determined I had to pay the 4 hour minimum, so I wrote a check to Galt Moving for $125, in addition to the $330 I paid Angie's list for the coupon, which was for 3 men, a 36' truck and 3 hours -- all was completed per the coupon.  I don't think I should have had to pay the additional $125.
Aside from this, I have no complaints.  They worked hard, were very pleasant and professional.  I would recommend them and use them again, but they need to be counseled on Angie's list - don't they have to agree to the "deals"?  I don't understand why nobody knew what purchasing the Angie's list coupon meant.

Galt provided us with a detailed quote which was lower than the "big" moving company, but a little higher than another smaller firm.  We went with Galt due to the much higher BBB rating.  It was a good choice.  They hit the ground running on the first day.  There were less team members than I expected, but the pack-out went very well.  I was surprised they finished within the allotted time.  The next day they showed up fairly close to the expected time and went straight to work loading the truck for the apartment items.  That day lasted a bit longer than expected, but they also were working very hard trying to get a couple heavy items up to the 2nd floor.  The 3rd day was just as efficient.  It took two trucks and 7 men to move the remainder of the items into a storage area.  I was impressed they managed to fit everything in there.  They have items nicely stacked at least 8 feet high, and the last item went in just to the door limit.
There are always glitches, and Galt wasn't immune.  We had a few broken items, a few items that we wanted in the apartment ended up in storage, and a couple of their workers were definitely more 'motivated' than others.  It was a bit inconvenient having to pay them each day, versus one billing at the end, but we were OK with that.  The final amount we were charged ended up within about $300 of the original estimate.  We've heard some horror stories with other movers, so this was nice.
Being prior military we moved a lot.  This team was up there with some of the better 'big' companies we've seen.  Not perfect, but I'd use them again.

The drivers showed up on time and went straight to work. The crew of three was less than professional. I don't mind some joking around and good nature fun, these three bickered the entire time. The truck got a flat tire,(which they admitted they knew was low when they left the office) this took an hour to change. I was not charged for the hour, but was not given any kind of discount for losing an hour of my time either. They were not organized, broke a bookcase (in half) and took a chunk out of my new dining room table. I filed a damage report with the company and a month and a half later have still not heard anything.

The move went pretty well. The guys did a good job. Things were not perfect but the few items that were damages could hardly have been prevented. We had big furniture items in the basement and they were as hard to get in 15 years ago as they were to get out during the move. The crew argued amongst themselves a little but stayed busy and kept moving. Some were better tham others. We didnt have anything broken in the move. They packed the truck very well. (also we didnt drive too far) I would recommend them, they definatelt did better than other movers I have seen used by friends in the past.

The team really worked hard and were super polite and careful! On top of that they packed and moved our family on a Saturday and Sunday. They were truly fantastic! I have done many military moves during my career - this was the first one that I have had to do on my own and they were phenomenal. On top of that no hidden fees or service charges. The Galt Moving Trucks are immaculate and HUGE! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and I would definitely use them again!!!

This is worst company I have ever moved with. I have moved 4 times in the last 16 yrs. I know when you move you will have damage, mine was a dresser and leather chair. The dresser was noted by me and the movers before they left. The next day I found the leather chair damage. Knowing the dresser was damaged the driver explained my rep would call me for setting a time for repair so I waited. I finally had to call them. I spoke with the President about the damage, he said he had to send me a claim form. He sent that and I mailed it back to GALT. What resulted is MANY weeks, 10 over all, of me trying to get the repairs done, trying to get calls returned. After much frustration I worked with John Bartell to resolve our issue to a point. Overall the company was NON-RESPONSIVE, rude, and argumentative after I tried to get the damage they caused fixed and not professional with me at all. Do yourself a favor do not use this company to move you. Hire someone else and same yourself money.
