+ -1 moreJohn was able to push more air upstairs. Given that it is April 2nd, it remains to be seen how much impact that will have on a hot day, but it will be an improvement. He also recommended that I install a power roof vent to cut the temperature in my attic. Between the two, I should see better cooling on the second floor of my house. Besides, I only spent $260 versus $10,000 or more for other solutions!!!
Description of Work: My problem was inadequate cooling on the second floor of my home. I had 4 contractors come out and look at the issue. Most wanted to install a second AC unit in my attic for big bucks. John said he would first try to push more air upstairs by "fixing" the ducting issues in the basement. Given the cost to do what John recommended, I decided to try that first. He took air flow readings before and after his work to prove that he did indeed increase the air flow to where it is needed most. He did this by installing "scoops" in the main trunk lines in the basement.
