They had to order a special part for my thermostat in order for it to not bog out later on. They ordered that part and it came back. The part was back ordered. They came back in August to change the part in my thermostat.

I was looking for a local company that would attempt to repair my air conditioner rather than replace.  I found Foothills Heating and Air Conditioning on Angie's list and another reviewer described a great experience on an almost identical situation. I called on a Sunday and Dan arrived on Monday. We first tried a less expensive fix, but we both agreed that the fan motor might need to replaced.  Sure enough, the a/c continued to function but bearings on fan motor were making a loud noise. A few days later the fan motor was replaced and all is well.  I found Dan and his son to be very professional, timely, and all for a very reasonable cost.  I will use them again and recommend to all my friends.

Dan was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. Price was very reasonable as well. None of the other AC companies would even return our messages! We got Dan's office right off and he came out THAT DAY! Thank goodness since it will be 95 tomorrow! He isolated the problem promptly, knew exactly where to get the part, went and got the part, and fixed it that day. It is actually running better now than it did before - we had to turn out temp up to 72, instead of 70 - it is that efficient now! Highly recommend. Nothing could be improved with his level of service . So lucky we found Foothills!

Dan and Jason Stenseth, from Foothills Heating and Cooling, installed the unit which ties into the water heater gas controls. They showed up on time, did a quality job in a short time (one hour) and charged a very reasonable price. In fact the price was so reasonable, I did not even ask for the 10% senior discount Foothills offers.

They had a professional demeanor and were nice guys.

The technician met the commitment to call before the appointment time to confirm his arrival time,  He was very punctual, respectful of our home by putting on shoe covers before coming in.  He introduced himself and asked questions about what had preempted our call for service, He was a good listener and  offered suggestions about what may have caused our issue and how he planned to isolate the problem.  He was completely knowledgeable and informative during his assessment of our unit and trouble shooting the problem.  He repaired a worn place on a single wire behind our thermostat to make certain that would not cause problems later. He found a relay that was tripping an internal breaker and replaced  both in addition to running a new wire from the outside unit to the inside since he wiring was older than 10 years and could be updated.   Have recommended this provider and will use them again and again.

Woke up to a cold room, the company I usually use was slow getting back to me so I called Foothills based on Angie's List reviews. After calling the dispatcher, I got a call back and had a technician at my house in less than an hour! Much better than I expected possible for emergency service. Jim the tech diagnosed the problem as a failed blower motor and found the part in town and was able to drive to the shop to pick up the part and get it installed that afternoon. He also cleaned that furnace and checked it, and did the same for our other furnace (we have 2). The only gripe I have is the invoice only had a total price on it, and was not itemized as to parts and labor. I would have been more comfortable with the invoice had they broke everything out since it was so expensive. I knew the variable speed motor was expensive upfront and Jim's initial quote was close to the final price, so was not surprised but was not home when the final invoice was issued and paid by my wife. I would use them again if my regular company was unavailable again.

I called at the busiest time of year so every other HVAC company was booked out at least 8 days.  Foothills was able to come within 24 hours.  Jason handled my calls, scheduled work and bought equipment. Jim actually did the work and did everything with an amazing attitude and expertise.  We loved having him work in our home because he worked quickly, efficiently and really knew what he was doing.  FURNACE:  Our furnace is now quieter, blows better and was completely cleaned off by Jim.  The rooms actually feel warmer.  NEW DUCTS:  Our 12' x 20' master bathroom was always freezing in the winter.  It's above an unheated garage.  Other HVAC serviceman had told me there wasn't space to add new ducts and that I should just install a wall heater.  But Jim found a way to install two new ducts with the new modern, insulated flexible pipe. My bathroom is now warm and toasty.  I absolutely love it.  DRYER VENT:  We had noticed our dryer was not working well, so Jim inspected the venting and explained how it wasn't to code, needed tape instead of screws, needed fewer 45 and 90 degree turns, etc....  He repaired everything that was wrong and cleaned it and now my clothes dry in half the time.  They are actually dry the first time the signal buzzes.  I tried to tip Jim because I was so appreciative of his excellence, but he refused to take the money.  We'll definitely call Foothills the next time we need them.

Our air conditioner had stopped running the day before.  Called Foothills at about 8:30 a.m in the morning and was told I would receive a call from a tech shortly.  Within the half hour, received a call asking about the problem and that a tech would be here between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m.  Jim arrived 9:35 and checked the unit immediately.  His findings were no problems other than perhaps overheating of the unit.  At that point, we requested he clean and do a maintenance on the unit.  He worked on the outside unit and came in to look at the furnace.  He pulled out an old filter that was not necessary and put our "permanent" filter in the proper area.  (We did not know we did not have these pieces in place properly).  He explained everything in detail and was here about 1 1/2 hours.  Whole thing only cost $92.  Air conditioner running smoothly and seems stronger.  We will definitely call Foothills again for maintenance or problems.
 They were actually recommended by our daughter who had used them before and was very pleased with their promptness and honesty.  She was expecting a large problem and was told only a small part had to be replaced and small bill to go with it.

I have worked with Dan and Jason for many years on my residence and income properties.  They always do a good job and are prompt.

It was done at one of our rentals while we were in Phoenix.
