Exodus Moving and Storage

Our house sold within three days of listing it, so we only had a three week time frame to get moved to our new location. We were told that if we packed our things up ourselves, the cost would be much less than the initial estimate. They moved things very slowly and in-efficiently. The movers piled up everything in our garage and basement, and we are still getting things settled almost a month later. There were many things broken, even though I took extra care to wrap things and label them as fragile. I would not recommend this company.

Pick up was smooth. Delivery was smooth.

We recently used Exodus to move from Northern Colorado to a location about 110 miles away. Because we wanted to get the entire move done in one day, Exodus provided three trucks and a crew of eight men. They arrived as scheduled and after familiarizing themselves with the items to be moved and their location, they immediately got to work. What a fantastic group of men! Each one was extremely professional, polite and went out of their way to accommodate our individual requests. They ensured that the floors were protected. Each piece of furniture was wrapped BEFORE it left the house. The doorjams and railings were wrapped to ensure that nothing was damaged when moving items out of the house to the trucks. They had all of the trucks loaded within about four hours. After a well deserved lunch break and a two + hour drive, they arrived at our new location and immediately got to work. Once everything was in the approprpiate room, they did a walk through with us to ensure that the pieces of furniture were in the right location and that we were satisfied. These guys worked a good 13 hour day and even at the end, they were still the fun, polite and professional crew they were early in the morning. The three crew leads (Abraham, Raul and Mike) ensured that we were fully satisfied with each aspect of the move. Once we started to unpack, we realized that only one piece of stemware had been broken. Please note, however, that we packed the dishpacks, not Exodus and given the volume of highly fragile items they moved, one wine glass was not a big deal! There are a couple of things I would like to point out however. The estimate we received was a "bit" off. The actual move cost about 20% more than the estimate. We will be following up with Exodus on this. However, even with the increase in the total amount it was well worth the expense given the great job they did. We also noted that the guys didn't always pay attention to boxes marked "fragile" or "do not stack", but with the exception of the one wine glass it does not appear that anything was damaged.
Note that we did follow up with Exodus on the overage.  They indicated that they would do a thorough review to understand why their estimate was 20% lower than the actual cost.  As stated before, despite this we were very pleased.  We recognize that a 20% different between the estimate and cost could be a significant hardship to some people as moving is never a cheap event.  However, given our experience with such a professional crew, we would recommend them.
