David with Colorado Roofing and Remodeling installed a new roof and gutters for us. They were great to work with! They took care of everything- the insurance claim, ordering the building permit, city inspection and scheduling. Their crew was here on time and finished the entire roof in 1 day. The gutters were done the next day. They cleaned up very well. David was at my house during the building process and came by when they were all finished to inspect the work and pick up any remaining trash. They final bill was exactly the same as what was quoted before the work began. I would definitely recommend David and Colorado Roofing and Remodeling.

David Melvin handled all aspects , including arranging for the solar panel removal and replacement, of this project. He was honest, professional and made the process so easy. He worked with the insurance company so I did not have to be a middleman and kept me updated all the way through. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

Colorado Roofing and Remodeling installed a new roofing system on my rental property. David communicated clearly every step of the way with me by creating a very easy to follow plan. It was executed just as he explained it would. David took care of all the communication with my insurance company saving me the hassle and time. He ordered the building permit, scheduled all the building inspections, scheduled the material delivery and let me know exactly when the crew would be showing up to begin work. He even worked with my home owners association to get the shingle approval. Colorado Roofing and Remodeling finished the complete re roof in only 1 day. The crew used a nail magnet and thoroughly cleaned all around the property. David personally came by the next day to inspect all of the work and took over an hour to walk the entire property and pick up any little scraps of debris that might have been missed by the crew leaving the property spotless. Colorado Roofing and Remodeling didn’t collect any money upfront. Only when all the work was completed I paid. They even upgraded my shingles to a class IV impact resistant shingle for free. This is saving me hundreds of dollars on my insurance premium. This company is very professional. It was a very stress free and pleasant experience. I highly recommend them!

We needed a roof replacement with a short time frame as our house was under contract. David and Colorado Roofing and Remodeling pulled off in time for our closing. The crew was excellent to work with, timely and clean. Everyone was pleasant and easy to communicate with. No issues working with our insurance claim. David, the owner, was a great help in getting this done. He worked closely with my insurance company to expedite the claim. The work was done on time and the quality of the work was very good. There was an incident where the workers installing the gutters cracked the fascia board on part of my roof. David had it promptly fixed! If you’re looking for a local reliable roofer, look no further than Colorado Roofing & Remodeling. In the aftermath of a hail storm (July 2016), my wife and I noticed a disturbing accumulation of surface shingle granules from the downspouts. The subsequent torrential rains had also washed an abundance of these roof granules onto our exposed rear deck. Now it was time for the inevitable next step: the burden of finding a roofer. Since we didn’t know anyone personally who had roof work done in recent years, we were faced with some nagging questions. How would we know in advance if the contractor was reputable? Would the roofers show up on time and get the job done in an orderly fashion? Would the removal and replacement of the old asphalt shingles break the bank? [We would certainly never hire one of those annoying “door-knockers,” who show up in droves every spring!] Well, all of the above worries started fading away on the day that David (owner of Colorado Roofing) showed up at our front door, not long after contacting him through Angie’s list. We found David to be personable, patient and professional. In short order, our prior concerns were put to rest. Shortly after going up on the roof, David climbed back down with photos showing widespread hail damage. After we contacted our insurance company and they had sent a claims adjuster to our home, David took over coordinating with the adjuster. He got back to us in a timely manner with a complete rundown of all the work involved. And the best news of all was the price. American Family Insurance agreed to pay for the entire job, minus a modest deductible! And there was a lot of labor and involved—including the removal of three layers of old shingles, and installation of new OSB decking (the original decking boards did not meet code), before the shingle underlayment and new shingles could even be installed. David’s roofing crew kept the roof weather-tight as they progressed, and the roof was completely weather-tight before leaving the job after a very long first day. The work was mostly complete by the end of the second day, with a follow-up visit the following morning, for odds and ends and final cleanup—which included several passes over the area with a magnet, along with a final inspection by David to ensure that everything was clean and free of debris. You couldn’t find a nicer, friendlier, guy to work with than David, of Colorado Roofing & remodeling. And his crew was as pleasant and hardworking as you could hope for.

I wa very pleased with both the construction and the customer service portion of my roof replacement. David, the owner of the business, is very professionals and responsive. His crew was timely and courteous, and when they were called back to make an adjustment for the inspection, they were prompt to take action. They worked well with my home owners insurance company throughout he process and made sure I got everything I needed to complete the work. I would highly recommend his company to all Denver metro resident needing a roof repair.

Dave always showed up when he said he would. His crew started first thing in the morning. They were courteous and professional. His crew is like a fine oiled machine, efficient and fast without cutting corners and sacrificing quality. They also did a great job cleaning up.

The Contractor was extremely responsive and helpful through the process of determining the level of work needed to replace my existing roof and clearly described in detail what I needed and why.  I was presented with various material options and colors to choose from and never felt pressured to choose one over the other.  The Contractor was more than willing to price different options to help in the decision making process.  I was extremely pleased with the prompt response, clear estimate, and very competitive pricing.  In the end I'm convinced the overall value cannot be beat. 

The work actually started a day early and was complete in 1.5 days instead of the expected 2 days.  Outside of the new roof I couldn't tell all anyone had been there to replace my roof.  My house/property was left as they found it . . . with the exception of an amazing new roof! 

The level of fairness, responsiveness, professionalism, and quality are second to none.  I'd highly recommend Colorado Roofing and Remodeling to for your roofing and/or gutter needs.

Well this process began in May 2014 and my insurance company, Safeco, agreed that there was hail damage and they would pay for a new roof and gutters. Upon further investigation my house had lead paint, 1960's home, outside and being a single dad David Melvin was concerned about her safety with this lead issue.
Safeco then denied that they had agreed to pay for a new roof and months and months went by as David kept up the battle to do what's right!! David did not give up and always responded to my calls especially when I had water leaking in through the ceiling due to a roof that was literally disintegrating as time went by. He absolutely never gave up and had tests done on the inside for asbestos, lead, and mold. He is very thorough and complete and is a true champion for his customers!!

David then called me in December and said that Safeco finally agreed to pay for the roof and he wanted to get started right away.
I told him this was Christmas miracle!! Seven months later he had a partial victory for me and the roof is outstanding, so is his company!!
I would and always will recommend David Melvin's company, Colorado Roofing and Remodeling, to anyone who asks me to refer them to a great roofing company!! I my honest opinion David went above and beyond the call of duty for me and I feel like he would do the same for all his customers!!

Since my insurance would not cover the gutters, as they promised, he arranged on his own to get this taken care of for me too.
I am very happy with my gutters and with this crazy rainy year we are having here in Colorado in 2015 David and his company have been a godsend to me and my family!! No more water leaking in through the ceiling and the gutters handled this recent flash flood awesomely too!!

David and his crew were professional and completed the job in 2 days. There were a couple of small things needing work after inspection done and David and his crew came back and redid a few small areas completed and our repeat inspection passed with flying colors. We even had some areas where paint had chipped off during roof removal process and David came by himself to paint the soffits. He was very responsive and was great to work with and would definitely call him again in future for more roof work!

David was fantastic to work with. He was open, honest, consistent, and responsive throughout the estimating, planning, and installation process. He pulled the city permit in a timely manner. His crew showed up on time every day, and did an excellent job with the roof replacement. When the job was finished, we noticed some room for improvement in the way the flashing was done around the skylights. We notified David of this on a Saturday evening, and first thing Monday morning his crew arrived to address our concerns, with excellent results. They went above and beyond to ensure total satisfaction. The entire roof looks great and we feel really good about the workmanship.

Every aspect of the job went very well. Customer service was outstanding starting with the estimate, working with our insurance company, selecting the right products, giving us a very good price and then wrapping it up with a roof replacement job well done in one day. David, from Colorado Roofing and Remodeling, was very patient and understanding with us as we dealt with an unexpected medical emergency in our family that delayed the job. The workers who installed the new roof were very professional, hard working, and careful to protect the grounds and landscaping around the house. In the end, we felt we had selected the best possible contractor to do the job.

Came out to give us estimate and was very professional. Very patient when we were deciding on colors. Install went well. Workers were prompt, worked hard, very courteous, cleaned up after themselves. Owner was out to check up on things everyday and ask if we had questions or comments. Again was patient when I changed paint color. Took extra day but understandable due to our roof.Communication was excellent. Delivered everything as promised. Followed up to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend this company.

If I could give Dave an A+ I would. First and foremost, besides the fact that he responded to my inquiry immediately and showed up on time, I immediately knew I could trust him to do what was needed correctly, the first time. 
The repairs were at a rental property: he worked with the occupant to schedule the work and was on time with the work completed in the time he said. More impressively, he & his team left the work areas cleaner than when they got there.
He communicated with me throughout the process, ensuring I knew what was going on and will meet with me once it's safe to get back up on the roof (snow!) to show me everything that was done.
We are going to need a new roof sooner rather than later but at least I now have the confidence that it won't fall down around my tenant's ears before I can make that happen.
This is my first time using Angie's List and if this is what I can expect, I'll be a member for life.

Colorado Roofing and Remodeling was professional and friendly from start to finish! David promptly responded to my initial phone call and came to inspect our roof in the same week. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection, and was able to provide easy to understand descriptions of what was going on, supported with pictures. David provided a clear invoice of all work to be completed, and was able to answer a series of follow up questions through prompt email exchanges. His team arrived on time, completed the work in one day, and did a highly professional job in removing and then replacing the roof. They cleaned up thoroughly, and I have  yet to find a nail in the yard! David returned to inspect the work and make sure we were happy with the job done. He then submitted all the necessary documentation to help us receive a new reduced rate with our insurance carrier. I was incredibly satisfied with the job, and plan to use CRR for all my future roof and gutter needs.

David showed up on time for our initial appointment, inspected my roof and gave me an estimate.  He ordered supplies to be delivered the day before installation and pulled the building permit.  On the day of installation his crew showed up on time and worked incredibly fast to install my new roof.  I was surprised at the speed of which they worked to get the new roof installed.  Afterwards David came back and inspected the roof with me and cleaned up all remaining debris (I haven't found any errant nails since the project).  The city inspector came two days afterwards and signed off on the inspection.  David's estimate was exact down to the penny and there weren't any hidden charges.  I was very pleased with the way David presented his company services during the initial appointment - there weren't any high pressure sales techniques used and I liked the fact that the owner of the company came out to give me an estimate and supervised his own crew - I ultimately chose Colorado Roofing and Remodeling for this reason.  My new roof looks beautiful and the price I received was lower than other estimates I received.

I was really impressed. He came right out and gave me the estimate. He did a great job. He was here to supervise his workers and they cleaned up wonderfully. They are a very professional organization. I would recommend this company in a minute to anyone. I have always been weary of contractors and this one proved me wrong.

The service was great.  I bought the certificate and David called me the next day.  He came out within a week to give me an estimate and started work within a week of my agreement.  The supplies were delivered and his crew started work the next morning.  They finished the job that afternoon and cleaned up everything.  I didn't have to do anything more than pay.  David got the permit from the city and provided a dumpster for the trash.  I am very pleased with both the roof and the service. 

Materials delivered on time, workers worked hard to complete on 2 days. David Melcin was helpful, diligent, and competent. He offered helpful advise on questions. I had some issues other than my roof.
