If anyone is looking to get their hardwood floors refinished...do yourself a favor and call Warren and Alec...the father, son team with Clark Hardwood Flooring. They were absolutely fantastic to work with! They refinished my whole downstairs and also my stairs, in a timely and professional manner! I've been walking around for 2 days just in awe of the new life my floors received. We got 2 puppies in 2021...they were not kind to my pine hardwoods...as you can see if you zoom into the picture with them in it. Now...back to perfection! Hit them up, you won't regret it!

The job went extremely well, including the difficult task of perfectly matching the newly laid flooring to existing flooring. What's their secret to their uniquely wonderful end result--it's because Warren Clark and his sons do all the work--no outsourcing, no supervising non-family work groups. Not only would we hire them again (and will do so when it's time to refinish our floors), they're the only company we will consider.

I wouldn't call anyone but Warren. I used his services last time. He gave me options on how to fill in around my wall that not only looked better, but saved me quite a bit of money. He was also incredibly patient as I was trying to choose stain colors! It is a big decision! My floor looks spectacular. He and his crew are patient, kind and really do an amazing job.

Warren of Clark Hardwood Flooring and Refinishing was professional,courteous, on time and did a great job. I had an 1100 sq. ft. house with hardwoods in two bedrooms, living room and kitchen. They crew was able to completely refinish the whole house with my choice of finish. They did an amazing job. They exceeded my expectations in how good the floors look and feel. Great job!

It was absolutely great with no problems. And, it was dust free.

It was a pleasure working with Warren Clark and his son. Our hardwood floors were ruined on installation.  The original contractor put commercial strength Mop N Glo on the floor supposedly to seal the cracks.  The Mop N Glo ate through the original finish is places. Warren sought out several options to sanding the floor, but ultimately, it was determined that sanding was our only option. Warren was always on time and worked diligently to complete the job. He uses a "dustless" system that was marvelous -- very little dust in the house. He made excellent recommendations and finished the job in the timeframe he said he would.  I would definitely use Clark's Hardwood Flooring and Refinishing again.

They interlocked the old floor with the new floor and you would never be able to tell what was old wood and what was new wood.  We wanted to slightly change the color and Warren gave me three samples on the floor to choose from.  They used great care moving the appliances.  They even searched all over town for 1/4" round trim to match our existing trim.
Warren happened to be sick the first two days of installation, but the backup he sent were more than capable.  My job was completed on time and on estimate.

Warren was hired to refinish the hardwood floors in our kitchen, front foyer and hallway.  Our floors are only ten years old, so other than significant yellowing over the years, they were still in great shape.  Our plan was to have the floors refinished by Warren with a darker, richer stain.  Warren first completely sanded our floors then applied four test areas of stain.  This is when we encountered our first problem.  Unfortunately, when Warren applied the four different colors to the newly sanded floor, he literally saturated those areas with stain, so naturally the floor absorbed a good portion of the stain that was applied.  We chose Nutmeg; however, when Warren applied the stain to our newly sanded floor he did not apply it with the same degree of saturation as the samples, resulting in a much lighter result.  Our floors were now the same color as when we started, if not slightly lighter.  When I expressed to Warren this was not the color we had chosen, his assistant had just applied a saturated rag of stain to the floor; however, rather than work it into the floor and remove it he left it sit there while Warren and I were discussing the color discrepancy.  To my surprise, once his assistant finally wiped up the stain that he had left sitting on the floor, the color that we had selected was revealed.  In an attempt to get to the color that I had selected Warren suggested resanding the entire floor and starting over, at my expense.  I declined.  I had no intention on paying for something that was not my fault.  If Warren had used the same degree of stain saturation as the sample, I would have received the color I requested and there would never have been a problem.  Apparently, based on their earlier comments this was not the first time a customer had complained about not getting the color they had selected.  In an attempt to correct the problem Warren applied additional stain to the floor, which only made matters worse.  My floor has at least four areas that are definitely darker than the rest of the floor.  Also, a good portion of the additional stain that was applied was very poorly blended.  Despite this Warren proceeded in sealing our floor with two coats of a commercial waterbase sealer.  Another issue I had was that I found numerous cracks in our floor that had not been properly filled.  We made several attempts to contact Warren before receiving a response.  We expressed our disappointment in not only our floor, but the fact that he would leave a job knowing that we had significant problems and areas of concern.  In an attempt to resolve the problem Warren suggested to either refinish only the areas where the stain was not properly blended or redo the entire floor.  After careful consideration we opted to not have him return.  Our reasons are as follows; poor stain application, doesn't seem to understand wood/stain absorption, floor cracks not properly filled, stain/sealer on trim, hoses rubbed paint off of corner walls, floor boards that never squeaked before squeak now, paid extra for two coats of commercial grade sealer not worth the money, floors very dull and dry looking.  in looking back our floors looked better when they were yellowed than they do now.  Very unhappy with the work that was performed and would never use this contractor again.

I will say that it went very well.  Warren gave us an estimate very quickly after I asked for one.  A couple of days later, we arranged a time for them to do the work.  Everything went as planned.  He showed up at exactly the time that he was supposed to in each step of the process and did a very professional job!  He had good equipment and was very knowledgeable.  I am very happy with his work.  I would definitely recommend them!

Very good.  Warren inspected our hardwood floors and made a recommendation to lightly sand and refinish.   He was very responsive and did an excellent job at a fair price.

Job went very well. Warren Clark and crew arrived punctually and went right to work. First day of sanding was the longest. After the final coat of finish was applied. a slight mismatch of sheen was noticed. Warren and crew returned on Saturday and rebuffed and applied a final coat that came out beautifully.

They were wonderful. I certainly would use this company again in the future and in fact, I plan to do so.

Warren Clark is hands down the BEST hardwood guy in Colorado.  In fact, other contractors should study his methods because this guy could teach them how to be successful.  He never advertises, not even on this vehicles, and he told me he has been booked for at least four weeks or more of work for something like 15 years.   Now that's somebody in demand.

Wayne and his son came on time and worked very hard all day. They did an excellent job. I'm very pleased with how it all turned out.

He was very responsive, did an outstanding job removing the old oil-based stain and gave the floors a flawless water-based finish. He even worked late into the evening one night to finish the job ahead of schedule. A few days later, he stopped by the house to give us a walk around of the work that he had done and provided very thorough instruction on how to maintain the finish for years to come. When it comes to a job like this, you want to hire a craftsman with the experience and skill level to get the job done right the first time... Warren is that guy.  By the way, the whole process was 99% dust free.

Took a long time for Clark to respond to give quote. Decided to hire for complete refinihing. After the job had some cracks open up that needed additional filling. Had to call several times to get Clark to come out and look at the cracks. Finally came and said no problem to fix in 1 or 2 hours. Said he would get back to us by November to fix once he finished some major jobs. To this day has not called back to schedule. We will get someone else to fix his work.

The floors look great. Warren did exactly what he said he would do. He even worked on the Sunday before Labor Day to get the job finished. We are very happy with Warren and the work he did.

We remodeled our kitchen and the floors were the finishing item. Found Clark Hardwood Flooring through Angie's list. Warren Clark and his son did a great job. Day and a half job. No dust! Only needed to stay out of kitchen for less than 36 hours. Clark was very professional and easy to work with. They put selected stain samples on the floor so we could make our choice. Left clear instructions on what to avoid in first week (e.g. no rugs, dogs) and recommended cleaning supplies. Payment upon completion. Accepted credit card. Took about 6 weeks to schedule, which wasn't an issue for us. We highly recommend Clark Hardwood.

We called for an appointment and Warren came out the next day and provided a written estimate. We originally scheduled the work in 2 months but he had an early opening and they were back at our house 4 days later. We removed the carpet, pad, and tack strips. Warren and his son removed the staples, filled the holes, and did the dustless sanding, and staining and sealing. We are very happy with the results. The floors look beautiful. They were professional, courteous, and responsive. A very pleasant experience and highly recommended.

Excellent. Warren is very professional and does outstanding work. Our floors are beautiful and we've received lots of compliments. This job had some challenges (damaged wood, water damage, etc.) that Warren was able to fix as if they were brand new floors. It was a great experience. We hope to see Warren in 3-5 years when it's time to do another coat.

I called Warren for an estimate and he came the next day. He walked me through the process and gave me an estimate right on the spot. On the day the project was to begin, he arrived on time. The carpet was pulled up and the floors were sanded and stained on the first day. There was minimal dust. One room had a very heavy piece of furniture that we were not able to remove. They worked around it, moving the piece from one side of the room to the other. The floors were stained with a water-based stain that allowed us to stay in the home in the evening. The next day, the floors were finished with two coats of sealer. The entire project was complete by early afternoon of day two! The floors look amazing!!! Warren was also very helpful with cleaning tips and recommendations of environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Another contractor was to install the floors, but stated the concrete subfloors were not level and refused to complete the job. A concrete contractor stated the floors were level and the installation would not be a problem. I was referred to Clark Hardwood by an associate. Clark Hardwood agreed the floors were fine and was able to install the wood floors. The work was outstanding and floors are beautiful. All the quarter-rounds were installed with the joints meeting perfectly.

I had new hardwood floors installed a few months ago by someone I found on an online ad site (big mistake). Although I checked the contractor's references, I ended up with a poorly done job. The wood was not given time to acclimate, the floor was not sanded properly and the finish was awful. There were ridges everywhere from the oil-based polyurethane being applied too thickly. The color I ended up with was nothing like the sample I was given. I was also very unhappy with the contractor's professionalism in general. Decided that I would have to do something to fix the problem, and Clark Hardwoods was referred to me by a co-worker. Warren had refinished the floors at my office and they came out very nicely. I obtained estimates from him and another company, and was most impressed by his knowledge, organization, professionalism and the fact that he would be there through the entire process. Warren and his son worked on my floors. Because they use a water-based finish, the floors were able to be completed in the least amount of time and without the horrible smell of the oil-based finish. I was able to walk on them just a few hours after they were done. The matte finish I chose turned out beautiful and smooth and they worked with me to choose a color I would love. The color turned out the same as the sample this time!! They used a dustless sander, and there was hardly anything to clean up. The high-traffic finish they used seems much harder and more durable than the last finish. My floors look SO much better than they did before!

Warren was on time for all appointments--estimate, start and finish. He and his son were very professional in their approach to the job, with no wasted motions, no fuss, no bother. The workmanship is outstanding. This floor had been waxed a number of times, but not in the last 20+ years. His dust free sanding method created no dust. My floor looks better than it did brand new. And his price was very reasonable. Gave tips on how to treat the floor in the future and left some peel and stick protective pads for the feet of furniture to be placed on it. A pleasurable experience all around.
