Still evaluating the hardwood product...................hated the installers. The product does scratch rather easily. The installers not only banged into door frames, walls and kitchen cabinets causing scratches, stood on a toilet seat and cracked it, but put dirty hands on walls, stuffed trash underneath the cabinets that I cleaned out before they installed the kick plates in the kitchen and played music so loud they had to yell at each other to be heard. I paid extra to have a china cabinet moved. They put such deep scratches in it that Carpet Mills hired a professional to come out and try to fix it. He did the best he could, but the scratches are still noticeable. I asked that the work be done by Christmas and received the call Christmas Eve to set up the appointment. I wanted my dining room finished by Christmas, but again Carpet Mills let me down. The carpet installers left scratches on the walls 12 - 18 inches high. I was told that is to be expected. I wish they had told me what to expect. I asked if they could not put cardboard around the walls to stop the scratching, but was told it is what happens with new carpet. The entire room and door frames had to be fixed. The carpet seems to be as promoted. It seems to be wearing nicely. I had the work done mid-October 2017. I was told it would take 4-5 days, but they hurriedly finished in 3 days because I lived in the county and it was so far to drive per one employee. Another installer complained to me he was having a difficult time cutting an angle after many tries and couldn't wait to get back to his real job of driving a truck. I had to beg the company to come back and fix the “expected minor damages” they did to my home such as scratches on the newly installed hardwood floor, scratches and gouges in walls and door frames. I guess I should be happy I had the “A” crew and not the “C” or “D” crew. I was down to a date in March 2018, but asked if they could come at a time my son could be here. I was told they could only be here at 8 am and expected to fix everything in less than an hour. The tone was take it or leave it. I hired someone I trusted to come and fix all the “expected minor damages” which took much much much more time than 1 hour ............. more like several days. I was told by the Sales Manager that there were too many mistakes, but that did not stop the company from charging my credit card for the entire amount the day of installation nor did they offer to refund any money for all the minor damages. I would never do business with them again. As a widow and woman, I think they took advantage of me. I waited to post a review because I wanted to be able to review the product also. Use this company at your own risk!!!!
