Call2Inspect performed a pre-purchase inspection of our condo. They supposedly inspected each bathroom for GFCI circuits. When it came time to sell the condo the following year, the buyers did theirown inspection and found that, in fact, the bathroom circuits were not GFCI. When I contacted Call2Inspect, they indicated they was not guarantee and refused to take any responsibility. Would definitely not recommend.

We've used Call2inspect on three different properties and have always received outstanding service and extremely thorough inspections. They have saved us from many costs from roofing, electrical, hvac, siding, yard grading and plumbing issues. Our regular inspection cost$495....For full inspection with radon test and sewer scope, the cost was $700. Well worth it considering we could have been out 10s of thousands all added up.

Not well. 80% of the report was inaccurate. Seems like a pretty outragous claim, given that their profession is to inspect homes. For clarity and to be fair, I've included their entire original report with my clarifications in green. The most disturbing part about the whole experience on our side was that the company absolutly refused to interact with us in any way, stating that they had "no duty" to us. All we wanted to have them do was come by so that they could correct the faulty report. They refused to even discuss the report, and told me that if I could send them my concerns via USPS. This was the most unprofessional interaction that I have had in the last 12 years of owning our home. A very close second in the appauling lack of professionalism, perhaps even first, was that we provided the plans and all of the information necessary to accurately inspect the home. The plans for the house were on the kitchen island (see the photos from call2inspect on pages 26 & 33). I cannot adequately express my level of frustration with the lack of professionalism that I experienced from this company. They are correct in that we did not hire them directly, and as the owner has repeatedly stated to me, he has "no duty" to us. Fair enough. The "duty" as they state on the third page of the report is as follows: The purpose of this inspection has been the identification and reporting of information about the property and reporting adverse conditions which were observed by the inspector. It is now up to you to make an evaluation of this information so that you can make informed decisions about what conditions are important to you. I believe that it is impossible to make an informed decision when a professional inspector provides wildly inaccurate information. Please be weary of these folks.

"As the reviewer has stated, he was not our client. He is the home seller who was upset with our inspection findings. We have a duty to our clients to give them our best assessment based on the conditions present. We understand that a prideful home seller may not be welcoming of our findings regardless of their truthfulness."

Jason was very helpful and professional. We gave him the 2 hour lead on the inspection and arrived towards the end of it. He went over all the details that were covered in the inspection, gave is rough estimates on costs to fix the needed repairs, and helped us understand the intricacies of our potential purchase. He was friendly and thorough, and we are very satisfied.

I had an electrical contractor to the home and they reported there were reverse polarities in the living room which were not caught in the inspection. The window in my bedroom had a 4 inch crack which was mentioned on the inspection. This was stated as a reparable problem with the replacement of the glass. The photo on page 22 in the inspection clearly shows previous repairs to the window. In reality, these minor repairs to the window itself necessitate the entire replacement of the window as opposed to just the glass. This was confirmed by two separate window contractors. This results in increased costs (nearly $2000) which run contrary to the findings of the initial inspection. Deck balcony safety is checked off on page 22 in the inspection as well. It reflects a deterioration on the joist on the right side of the deck. I have had a structural engineer to the house who informed me the deck floor has deteriorated to where it needs to be replaced. He also found more than one joist that needs repair and there are issues with the attachment of the deck to the home. This alone reflects nearly $8000 in repairs that were not caught or mentioned in the inspection report. Due to the missed issues in the inspection report, I am now dealing with nearly $10,000 in unforseen repairs. Had these issues been caught in the initial inspection, I may have reconsidered the purchase of my condo or, at the very least, negotiated the price to reflect the issues needing repair.

Brad was very thorough and detailed. He was also very informative when we walked through the house to show us his inspection points. We got a great report when all was done which was helpful in the negotiation process with the sellers. Brad even went to the house the day before the inspection to look at the roof since there was supposed to be snow the day of the inspection. Brad answered all of our questions and was great to deal with.

Brad was great. He was very thorough searching the house. He even went into a crawlspace that was filled with creepy-crawlies. Well done, Brad. Additionally, his report was very thorough.

Brad did a great job, even finding a crawlspace access panel under the carpet that the seller didn't even know existed. We had to have him come back after getting approval from the seller to lift the carpet and he was early to arrive for both the original appointment and the followup. He was extremely thorough and happy to answer any questions we had. Great experience and I'll definitely be calling Brad the next time I need an inspection.

I can't say enough good things about this experience. Dave showed up on time, in a neat uniform, was polite, helpful and very professional. As a part of the thorough inspection, we walked through the home and Dave explained everything he was doing "See, this is where you'd shut off the water if you needed to", answered questions, took digital photos and made notes. When the inspection was complete, he docked his little PDA and printed out detailed pages for the job and snapped them into an info-filled binder in the individual sections entitled: roof, exterior, foundation, plumbing, heating, electrical, interior, etc. There was a printed summary noting items that needed attention and the next day emailed photos documenting all areas of concern were sent so these could be printed and added to the book. This binder is now a great record of the condition of the house at purchase and a good general reference document ("how long should a wood shake roof last?").
