Big Tool Box

The tune-up went well and my snowblower now starts up when it couldn't when I tried earlier this month due to a gummed up carburetor. They will pick up your snowblower for $50, which I wish wasn't so high but I can't fit it inside my SUV to deliver it myself. The guys at the shop were very nice and professional and I would use them again for other small engine repair needs.

The truck was available as promised and I got help with hand truck and accessories very quickly to have the truck ready to go for my move. I was very impressed.

It took them a little longer to get it back then I would have liked, but they are busy. It is still running well up to today. They time taken was the only problem that we had. They had promised us a week, and it took them 10 days. This was not parts driven, it was just the technician.

The snow blower would not start - not even cough. They did an overhaul that had it going flawlessly. They also installed an electric starter. No more pulling that darned starter rope - yea! This is a great place for small engine repair. They do a lot of it.

I called all over town trying to find decking stain that would match my existing decking stain on a house I was trying to sell.  I had stained several times in the past, and did not want to completely strip and start over, and I had about 30% new boards on my deck and so a light/natural finish would not have looked quite right any way.
After calling everyplace on this side of town I gave up and called the Big Tool Box (near my new house, but about an hour from my old house).  They had the exact stain I was looking for, and were willing to do a color match.  
Big Tool Box did the match quickly:  he said it might be 4+ hours, but I had the stain by 11:00 the morning I dropped off the sample.  The salesman was very helpful providing tips on how to prepare the surface and things to watch out for.  
I've been back since and it never fails to amaze me that such a little store (big for an Ace, small compared to say Home Depot)  has such a good selection of things compared to the big mega hardware stores.

I was happy with what they did. They were excellent, did the work they indicated they were going to do and the price was right.

They fixed it on time and it works good as new.  The employee that was there when I picked it up wasn't that sociable which made it hard for me to determine what was actually broken and how I could prevent it in the future.  This was a minor inconvenience though and I would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking for repair work to outdoor equipment.

Agreed what was to be done when I took the mower in for repair.  They called a few days later saying it was ready.  When I went to pick it up, not all of the work had been completed: two things were not done.  I had to wait there while they finished the repair.  No really major issues, it was just annoying, and I hate having my time wasted when someone else does not do what they said they would do.

They are basically a hardware store that provides big or small tools and equipment.  They are personalized even if they are just a small store.  The employees are knowledgeable and very helpful.  In fact a had a trouble with the chiller I rented and the staff offered some help for me to finish my job.  They gave me a discount and offered a new tool that I could use.  I am very please and delighted with the quality service they provide.

I am there all the time, and I love everything about it.  They are friendly, helpful, and the whole experience is always good.  They have things other places don't have. They are always ready and willing to help you out when you need them. Their service department is excellent, it's a great place, and I have recommended them to others.

I had a very old (~ 30years) snow blower. I had these guys fix it 4 years ago ($75) and it ran great for an old machine. But, this season it needed some work again. He told me he might not be able to fix it very well, but gave it a shot. Ultimately I had to let it go because the machine had lost too much compression and wouldn't run well. He gave me a discount on the work, and got rid of the machine for me for free.

They did a very good job with the fixing.  They were also not bad pricewise.  I had to bring back the edger because it was not properly tweaked enough for the speed.  It took them a while to get the job done.

The Big Toolbox is awesome! They have hard to find irrigation items, they repair your lawn and garden tools, and the staff is always knowledgeable and nice... will definitely use them again. Oh, and the great thing is... you can always get in and out very quickly, very rarely a long line.

We didn't need an appointment, we just drop off your lawn mower and let them know what the problem was. They let us know what they thought needed to be done and gave us an estimate of how much it would be. We agreed to have work done and they got the work done in about a week and called us to let us know we could pick it up anytime. They are very friendly and know what they are doing.
