Jerry is a practical, hard-working man, a good communicator, and he does what he says he's going to do. He was very adaptable to the schedules of the other contractors working on the house, sometimes to his own detriment in terms of finishing the job and getting paid. This renovation was a huge project, taking place over a couple of years. Jerry understood the needs of the project, from procuring the finest wood at the best price, for the areas of replacement, to getting the old wood into the best shape imaginable to present a uniform quality throughout. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to everyone.
Description of Work: Jerry was the hardwood contractor in the renovation of a 5,000 sq ft Victorian home. He installed 1400 sq ft of new, quartersawn and riffed oak flooring, replaced treads on stairs, and refinished a vintage inlaid floor in the dining room, as well as refurbishing an oak floor (800 sq ft) on the third floor apartment. Jerry's work is meticulous; his work on the project ranged from a high-end new wood installation to shaping up an older oak floor that looked like it was beyond fixing.
