Bathroom completely remodeled in 2018. Started off ok, but ended up with a poor quality remodel that essentially needs to be gutted not even 3 years later. Owner was present and keeping track of the project at first, but it seemed like he had moved on to other projects before long, opting to take various shortcuts, and use unskilled staff to speed it along, despite the fact that the bathroom was not yet completed. First big issue, the mosaic floor tile installation was extremely sloppy. The tile floor was never completely level after install, was never adequately supported, and has since developed a variety of pretty substantial waves and lips along the surface of the floor, especially over the last year as more and more grout joints have failed. The floor tile along the wall was cut VERY unevenly, leaving me with jagged and uneven grout lines as much as an inch (wide) out from the wall in some places. The perimeter of the floor was grouted to the wall tile, and all of those joints have failed. The wall tile was fine at first, but grout started crumbling from the joints roughly a year after installation. Much of the tile work on the walls was completed by an employee who was just learning at the time, was left unsupervised by the owner, and made a number of mistakes as a result. Some of the mistakes were mitigated at the time at my request to another worker, but all of them are still visible, and the tile pattern has never been correct. At the time, I had mistakenly thought the tile issues were just cosmetic issues, but that was obviously a mistake given the generally failing condition of the tile installation throughout the bathroom. In hindsight I should have withheld payment until it was fixed correctly. Earlier this year I had hired them to do some things for me as part of a larger kitchen remodel. I had discussed the things I needed with the owner, and detailed the timeline I was on regarding these items. The owner indicated this would be no problem, suspiciously eager to start the first chunk of work (demo, minor drywall repair). Unfortunately, when it came time for the second chunk of work, the owner had booked himself to do something else, leaving me in a position where I had to scramble to find someone else at the last minute despite having discussed and agreed to the timeline on more than one occasion previously. In my experience, they will generally show up on time, and be done on time, but the owner kind of beats to his own drum otherwise, and the resulting final product suffers. Unless you are willing to babysit and micromanage each little piece of the project to ensure it is being done correctly, I might suggest choosing a remodeler that isn't willing to cut so many corners at the client's ultimate expense. Definitely hire an actual tile contractor instead for any real tile work.

Called to make appointment and Bill sent a very nice gentleman out, the next morning, who got right to work replacing old caulk and screen door grilles. Work was neat and timely. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire again.

They went in and performed all the work that had been agreed on and then some. The were extremely professional, knowledgeable and punctual. I will always keep them on my list of go-to contractors. I gave a B for price only because they aren't the cheapest, but in my opinion, they are the best. It was worth the little extra to have someone who is honest and knows what he's doing.

They installed ADA handrails in my shower (materials included in the price), plus two ceiling fans and two outdoor metal stair railings that I had already purchased. They also replaced the opening mechanisms on two casement windows, which they were able to make work reasonably well even though an exact match was not available. Overall, they did a great job adapting to the challenges that come with working on an older house. The ceiling fans work great, and they even switched out the one light fixture to a different room, and disposed of the previous broken ceiling fan and all the packaging for me. The outdoor railing installation turned out very nice, too - perfectly straight and sturdy. I would say they are definitely a good value for the money.

It was beautiful- they sent two guys out and they were very hard workers. Worked all day and even went out and purchased all the materials for me.

They were very professional! They had to change the time which was scheduled for the work, but it ended up being fine with me. The service was performed well and I would hire them again for sure. I got an estimation at first, which I agreed with, and two gentleman came to do the work and completed what was to be done.

When ever I have a project I call Bill first. He comes out and let's me know not only the scope of the work, but cost and if it makes more since for me to use a different service. Love them and their quality of work. I will continue to call when we have projects at the house.

The project went very, very well. Bill recommended and ordered the granite countertop for my kitchen and master bath. His team of Nick and Trevor did the majority of the labor and were true perfectionists. They spent many hours putting in a marble backsplash in my kitchen and showed creativity in overcoming issues which arose due to the age of my house. They also painted, mended dry wall, installed sinks, a gas range, a garbage disposal, lighting and mirrors. They were very responsive and so easy to work with. This is the 2nd project I have contracted with WCH Improved Homes. I will be calling them for my next project and I highly recommend them.

The work performed by WCH Improved Homes was outstanding! It was approximately a 3 week project. I had to travel out of town so I gave Bill the keys to my house. When I returned home the work was completed to a level beyond my expectations. I was so happy with his work that I called him back in 2018 for another project. They were on time, professional and worked very hard to make that hoist work properly. I had to leave to deal with a family matter about 45 minutes before they finished and felt absolutely comfortable leaving them to their work. The hoist works perfectly and I couldn't be happier. I'm delighted to have found a service that I deflintely will be calling on again.

I was dealing with a smoke alarm that was going off at unpredictable times and it was located on a vaulted ceiling. I had made an appointment to have it replaced but when it started going off every 1-3 hours, I called to see if I could be worked into the schedule at an earlier time. Happily, I was and the guys were very helpful and got everything fixed for me.
