SavATree - Lakewood

We just had a large cottonwood tree removed (approx. 80' tall and 90' in from the street).Our arborist Scott Scholz from Savatree did an excellent job of coordinating the city, the crane service, and Savattee crew in getting the tree removed. All came together within a half hour on removal day and was completed in 7 hours. The tree partially covered 4 homes and was damaged in the May 2022 snow storm. With Scotts analysis we all agreed it was time to remove. Thank you Scott and your assistant Liv Duesterberg for her great support. Dave & Bette W.

Appreciated the reminder calls before they came out to do the lawn. Good at leaving a card explaining what was done after each visit. Like the fact that you can get different types of chemical treatments from very eco-friendly to more intensive. Good service and fair cost.

Way over priced for what service was performed, incomplete damaged limb removal and they wanted to charge an additional amount to finish the job. Previously used Mountain High several times before it was bought by SavaTree but will not use it again.

We got a number of estimates with a wide range of prices and some could not provide service for 3 weeks. Mountain High was able to provide and good estimate and could cut in 2 days. They arrived on time and were finished and completely cleaned up in just over 2 hours. They were polite and worked hard. In summary, the entire experience with Mountain High was EXCELLENT.

We have used Mountain High for about 10 years.  We continue to reduce the number of services we have them perform because of poor customer service.  The past several years, we have been on their monthly plan for application of bug barrier (to protect the home from insects) and to spray for weeds in areas other than the lawn.  Normally, things go off without a hitch and their technicians are easy to work with.  Unfortunately, yesterday we got another technician who was uninterested in doing a good job and spent about 4 minutes applying both treatments.  In reality, the bug barrier was not applied to the house perimeter, as it has been done in each of the past times, but at best was only spot applied to areas of unimportance (not by the windows or doors).  Unfortunately, I could find no evidence of any application; typically it takes about 45 minutes to dry.  Nothing was still wet around the entire perimeter of the house immediately after the tech left.  When I called the office to complain, I was told by Chris that he would look into it and call back. When he called, he explained that the tech said the weeds were sprayed.  I told Chris that I know that, that I called to complain about the bug barrier.  He said he'd call the tech again (Loftin) and call me back.  He did not.  I called office again the next day and asked to speak to a manager.  Debbie did not pass my call through but listened to my complaint.  She said she would look into it and call me back.  She did within the hour but I was told that the treatment was applied.  I explained that we had this service performed numerous times over the past several years and that after each one, it was wet around the perimeter, but not after this one.  She still insisted it was applied and that we still owe $45 for it.  This is not the first issue I raised with this company, but it will be my last.  EACH TIME I HAVE CALLED TO HAVE THEM RESOLVE A PROBLEM, I AM TOLD THAT THEY DID EVERYTHING FINE AND THEY CANNOT DO ANY MORE. Of four times I have called about a problem, they have responded all four times that they did their work fine and would not do anything more.  In none of those times did they ever come out to look over the work.  Basically, when they do the work, it's not bad.  It's a bit high priced, but not too bad.  But if you ever call to contest something, know this: THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG.  There are too many other providers of these services for me to continue cutting them slack for poor performance and terrible customer service.  This was the final straw.

I like them a lot. I have used them for several years. They have always been nice, and they have done a good job. The more I use them, the better my trees and lawn seem to be doing.

I have been a Mountain High customer for several years. Understand that normally I get great results and service from them. This is my first review for them and it comes at a time when they finally tripped up. This review only reflects this latest visit from them.Mountain High did a thorough job with application, ensuring that nothing was missed including small areas that could be easily overlooked. It dries quickly and causes no issue for pets as long as it dries before letting your pet outside. The lawn revive application seems to be rebuilding grass in shaded areas where it had been receding each year. My only issue with them ever related to this past visit is that it is a reapplication. I was told at the time they came out to give me an estimate that they would come out and apply these every 4 weeks, and that if weeds reappear between applications, they would come out and apply it again for free. They scheduled the first application for April 1. After 5 weeks, I had a lot of weeds. When I called, the front desk insisted that reapplication was supposed to be every 4 to 6 weeks, and that the 'free' reapplication only applies if the original application doesn't work after 10 days (which is NOT what the guy told me who gave me the estimate). So on the 7th week, they finally came back to reapply (I'm sure only because I called). I am waiting to see how they handle the next and quot;4 weekand quot; cycle before I decide whether to just do the work myself.In summary, they have always done great work. I am hoping that this last visit and the resistance from the front desk was just an anomaly.

Jason drilled 2 very small holes in each of my very large Ash trees for the injection process. It went very fast. The trees took up the liquid quickly. While the process went on, Jason answered my many, many questions about the EAB infestation and his experience with it and the Pine Beetle outbreak. I have pine trees as well. His advise was very useful.

The crew was at my house earlier than the appointment time. They knew exactly what needed to be done and worked to the estimate in a swift and professional manner. Surprisingly, they made very little tree cutting noise. They picked up all the twigs and cuttings from their work. I have had tree companies before and was not very satisfied with their work. A trim is a trim is a trim and other companies have left the limbs too long and past years suckers attached so that they hung over my yard and the yards of two of my neighbors. Mountain High did the trim completely the way I expected a trim should be. This is the second time I have had them do tree work; once on a rental property and was completely satisfied that time as well. I will continue to call on this company.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were in and out in about 20 minutes. They were here about two days after we purchased the deal. They knocked on the door, said they were here and then knocked again a little later saying they were done. They came on time and I hardly talked with them. They were good.

It turned out fine. It worked very well. I've used them before, so I was happy with the service. They call and schedule appointments and then call again that they are ready to come out. So they are pretty prompt and courteous. They did a good job. They are professional and friendly.
