It would have been acceptable to me if the office had called and said he was running late and gave a new time of arrival or offered to reschedule for another day. They did not contact me at all after the arrival time came and went.
I suspect they are a good firm that had something go wrong. This can happen, but a good company would give the homeowner updates.
Great experience. I had recently bought a house and found the tankless water heater exhaust PVC ductwork was leaking water. It turns out the tankless water heater PVC exhaust was not properly sealed by the previous homeowner or contracter, so I called Quinnair, who sold me my HVAC system, and they were able to successfully fix it in an hour. Since Quinnair fixed the problem by adding the proper sealing glue and refitting the PVC pipes, I have had no issues for the past year!
Great experience! Quinnair spent extra time and effort to customize an HVAC system for my limited budget in April 2013. Although other bidders produced faster quotes, Quinnair answered all my questions, was thoughtful and professional, and put forth effort to find me a great deal and give me exactly what I wanted, which went a long way in earning my business. Energy efficiency was my top priority and Quinnair was able to take the time to give me a custom solution which was the best value for my dollars and was by far the most energy efficient system of all the other HVAC companies that gave me quotes for similar prices. I ended up with an ASHRE certified Trane 15.5 SEER AC and 95% efficient furnace with a solid state blower motor. Quinnair also handled and obtained all the necessary City of Denver permits without issue. I am very happy with it. This system has been a great combination and there have been no major problems over the last 2 years in operation.
There were a few minor issues after 1 year where a furnace part went bad and was replaced under warranty, and also when an electrical connection came loose at the cutoff box by the condenser outside. Both of them were quickly and professionally addressed and fixed at no charge during the 2 year warranty period.
This was a very positive experience and we are well satisfied ? both with service and price.
The other quotes I received where from varying sizes of companies from the one-man shop to the large commercial companies who you see all around town. Clyde promised a much better deal than all the other companies....better equipment for a competitive price.
I had heard from several contractors that replacing my furnace may cause a chain reaction in which I should consider replacing my furnace, A/C coil and A/C unit all at the same time. Clyde provided me with two quotes - 1 for replacing just my furnace and 1 for replacing everything. The price, quality of equipment, and warranties were much better than the othe places I had contacted, so I decided to go ahead with replacing everything at once. They also agreed to pull permits and work with me on my unique home design issues that presented potential challenge in passing a permit inspection. The only negative comment I have was that it took about two weeks from the time I said I wanted to proceed until we were able to schedule the install. In fairness, I think they may have attempted to email me and had my email address wrong.
I was really worried about what I was getting into because it did seem like everything that was being promised was almost too good to be true. Quinnaire worked with me on every concern I had and all equipment was exactly as promised right down to the model number.
The two men that installed my equipment were both very friendly, professional and helpful in answering all of my questions. They were aware of each item I was promised in the sale and had all of the equipment with them. Brian, the owner followed up with a visit to make sure everything was done to code prior to the inspector coming out. Everything passed inspection with no issues and the inspector even commented that it was a neat job. Quinnaire met all of my expectations. I would use them again and would highly recommend them for both their work and their price.
