Proprietor David of Oak Leaf Hardwood Floors, is a craftsman of the highest caliber and a businessman whose every word can be counted upon. David extended the hardwood floors (i.e., installed new hardwood) and refinished our existing hardwood flooring to create a single beautiful hardwood floor on our main level. Every aspect of David's work and business ethic is to be admired. We contracted with him 3 months prior to the beginning of the work, as he was fully booked until then. He started on the exact day that he promised and finished exactly when he said he would. Expert craftsman like David are 1 in a million. I recommend Oak Leaf Hardwood Floors without reservation!

As a contractor I have used Oak Leaf Hardwood for more than 15 years. Over those years I've presented many hardwood challenges and Oak Leaf ALWAYS came through and made my clients happy. Whenever a hardwood project comes my way, I call David with Oak Leaf Hardwood without hesitation!

David with Oak Leaf was great. Very professional and courteous. His work was done timely and very well done. My hardwood floors were refinished to their former glory days and after 3 years still look amazing. He was also able to patch some areas that the prior owners covered up with junk wood so that it looked like it a piece in the floor that belonged there. Very good work and 100% would recommend and will use again.

David is extremely professional courteous and prompt. He delivered outstanding value and excellent service. Unfortunately I've had to use them twice due to my own errors, but every time has been perfect.

Arrived on scheduled time, kept work area clean. Worked completed on time and my floors look fabulous. I have used Oakleaf Hardwood Floors in the past for install and finishing work. I have always been happy with their work.

I hired David to screen my hardwood floors, which are original to my 1911 home.  Overall, I think David was very knowledgable and professional.  He warned me that if the floors had ever been waxed, the screening coat would not "take" and the finish could bubble up and peel off.  I didn't know the history of my floors and whether they had ever been waxed, so I took my chances and had the screening done.  As it turns out, my floors must have been waxed at sometime because there are areas where the finish is bubbling up.
David also repaired a part of my floor where a small piece of the floor was missing.  He did a great job on the repair of the floor.  I would use his services again.

David was professional, answered all questions, and met his commitments regarding time and costs.  Clearly very competent and provided information regarding care and maintenance of floors.  Very easy to work with!

The project was started on time and finished on time and looks absolutely amazing. Dave did a beautiful job. We used a slightly wider plank than usual and a fairly dark stain, antique brown. The dustless sanding works great.... I didn't have to put up any plastic, as i have has to do in the past and there was really no dust. The floor is just gorgeous and I just wish I did it ten years ago. I highly recommend Dave and my only comment would be, don't wait. The house looks one thousand times better.

It was a remarkably good deal. He came right on time, he was very diligent and he get it done and the floor looks absolutely awesome, I am please with them. I have used a different contractor about 5 years ago, a big main one, just to do the kitchen and dining they charged me $1000 for doing that.

I had a few estimates done. The pricing were very similar. I got my estimate from David on the spot. The job went according to plane. David was efficient.

very smoothly, brought oak flooring into house a month plus to adapt to temperature so there wouldn't be any shrinkage.  Started and finished on schedule.

David was very quick to respond hen I first called him for an estimate, he showed up the next day.  We went over the areas that the wood flooring would be installed and he asked me many questions that I was not educated on, this being my first time installing real hardwood.  Dave then sent me an estimate after all of our questions, his and mine, were answered.  He gave us the option of removing the old flooring and floorboards, or he could do it for us.  David showed up on time on the agreed upon installation date, walked me through the daily processes and got it done beautifully.  He even answered a question very promptly 3 weeks after installation regarding a scratch that our 145lb dog had put on one of our stairs.  Would definitely use David again!

Dave came by April 10 and gave us an estimate for two large rooms including extending from the kitchen and breakfast area which already had hardwood floors.  I explained that we were on a budget and he suggested that I remove the carpet, pad, tack strips, base boards and floor staples.  This would save quite a bit of his time.  I made the same pitch to the other companies who made the same suggestion so all were basically quoting the same service.
Dave ordered the wood, stain and sealer which he had sent to my house. The wood apparently needs to acclimate to th environment it will be used in.  Dave and his wife showed up about 8:30 as scheduled on Monday 6-11.  They worked all day and had all of the raw wood layed down (500 sq ft) by the end of the day.  If I recall correctly, on Tuesday Dave sanded, stained and put on the first coat of sealer.  This took 3/4 of the day. Wednesday he sanded again and sealed again.  This only took about 4 hrs.  Then Thursday he sanded and sealed again!  Another 4 hours.  He recommended waiting until Sat if possible to put the furniture back.  (Fri eve at the earliest.)
The floors looked great and he was careful to keep the place clean while he was working.  He has a dustless sander that looks like R2D2 and worked pretty darned well. 

We didn't have any more dust in the house than if you had left your wiindows open all day (which we had to do because of the stain and sealer smell)
Overall - GREAT JOB

I am thrilled with the outcome of our project with Oak Leaf Hardwood. David was prompt in response to my request for a quote. He was very flexible in working around our schedule and starting the work when it was most convenient for us. He showed up on time and got right to work making great progress very quickly. During the course of the project, David was receptive to changes and patient answering our questions. The project was finished exactly on-time as promised and the quality of the work is top-notch.

They are really good with wood.  Of course, they redo flooring but he is very knowledgeable.  I think that the best attribute of this company was that he didn’t try to hide anything.  He was very honest about the condition of the floors.  He said that he wasn’t sure how well they would turn out.  He was very upfront with the expectations.  They turned out better than what he thought they were going to.  He does a good job of not trying to sell himself better than what he does.  He was a lot more expensive than other people but he is worth that.

Outstanding in all respects!

We were very happy with our overall experience. They were exactly on time for the estimate and gave us a very fair estimate as compared with three other quote we received, not charging us extra for a couple of small things, like one board repair which we'd been quoted by others at$75 to repair. They also met our timing needs, starting and finish exactly on time before we had to move in our furniture. The floors look amazing as well, much better than we'd expected from the condition they were in before we moved in. We would highly recommend these guys!
