This company was used by my Home Warranty of America. I paid the $75 deductible for a licensed technician to come out. In the "Description of Work" he wrote "Came for a leak behind washing machine. Will need to install 3 water lines from the washer to the angle stops with a 3 piece connector." This clearly describes the issue and is fully covered under my policy for plumbing system coverage for "Leaks and breaks of water, drain, gas, waste or vent lines". HWA even said that language would have been covered for parts and labor. Instead ARK Plumbing changed what the licensed technician wrote to "reconfigure water lines" and "install regulator" which HWA took as a "modification" and not covered under the policy and I would have to pay ARK Plumbing an additional $250 for the reconfiguration part of the job. ARK Plumbing refused to correct the invoice to HWA to what the actual technician who assessed the issue wrote on the "Description of Work" so that HWA would cover it. They were rude, condescending and dismissive on the phone. Never use this company and I wish HWA would take them off their approved vendor list so that other customers won't have to experience what I had to. I ended up paying $40 on Amazon for the parts and will spend 15 minutes fixing this myself. I thought $75 to use HWA for a licensed technician to do the job and save me even just a little time and effort was worth it but ARK Plumbing clearly runs a shady business to try to charge almost $500 to HWA with language making it sound like the job is a reconfiguration/modification and bigger than it is. After this, I called several other plumbing companies with 4+ stars who gave me quotes of $150-$200 which seems fair and what HWA approved for non-modification parts and labor coverage - they all agreed this was a simple water hose replacement job with no reconfiguration/modification. Judging from the reviews here, I'm glad to have not had ARK Plumbing come to do the job.
Description of Work: Replace water hoses and 3 piece connector for washing machine due to wear and tear.

The general contractor for the residence subcontracted Ark Plumbing on behalf of the homeowner since Ark had the lowest bid. It turned out that many elements logic would dictate to be part of the job (including shower trees, setting the sinks, and various bits of hardware necessary for completion) were left out of the bid, only to become add-ons later in billing statements so obscure, the general contractor could not interpret them. The workmanship was shoddy, sloppily done, many elements either done badly or left unfinished. Property was damaged during installation and compensation not made. Billing was unclear (no one could interpret the charges) and the provider did not stay within the contracted budget, adding on miscellaneous expenses without a change order. While the builder, at the homeowner’s request, was still in negotiation with Ark to determine exact charges and source for additional, unapproved charges, Ark continued to rack up service fees for the balance remaining, and continues to do so. The homeowner was repeatedly stalked by Ark (whose head plumber would lie in wait on the road until the homeowner drove by, then follow the homeowner to the residence to demand payment), harassed as to payment with threatening notes attached to updated invoices while the project was still incomplete, and subjected to trespassing when the plumber showed up at the residence while no one was home, entering the home without permission to leave the latest invoice (along with threat of lein) on the kitchen table. The homeowner called Ark to request that they deal directly with the builder who hired them, which resulted in verbal abuse by office staff. The original bid of $18,750.00 for plumbing and underfloor heat was paid on time and in full. The solar hot water bid of $15,000.00 was paid on time and in full. The additional mystery charges are still in dispute, as the homeowners have resorted to legal action after Ark filed an unjust lien on the property. The remaining work has yet to be done. Please stay far far away from Ark Plumbing & Heating Inc. You can do way better than this outfit.

I called to get an estimate for a Hot Water Heater that was leaking and first they put me on hold for several minutes and then when i ask for someone to go take a look and give us an estimate, the lady said that it would be Thursday (4 days) before they would go to that area. Then she said, "we are really booked up". It didn't sound like they wanted to do the work. I told her, it doesn't sound like you want to do the job?", she didn't respond so I hung up.

We were having a difficult time getting an honest estimate out of every local company we called so a friend reccomended calling Ark Plumbing and Heating. I live in Buena Vista, CO and Ark P&H is in Howard, CO which is about 50 miles away. Well they were out the same day and solved our heating problems with a few new parts. A few local companies told me the boiler was dead and it would need to be replaced! One guy even went so far as to turn off our hot water and told me we would not have hot water again until we replaced the boiler. Others told me I was looking at at least $1200.00 just in parts alone.... Well after talking to Randy at Ark P&H and explaining what was happening he seemed to have a pretty good understanding of what the issue was. So Randy sent Gary out to take a look and Gary had us up and running with in an hour and it only took a few parts and the price was right! I will never hesitate to reccomend or call Ark Plumbing and Heating they truley the best in the valley and really know what service and honesty are all about!!

I have used ARK Plumbing and Heating twice. They seem to know what they are doing and are friendly enough but I don’t like how they do business. Specifically they did not advise me of their rates until I ask and failed to mention I will be charged for travel, picking up materials and even charges for billing me. When I had a disagreement about being billed for time they spent trying to fix something THEY BROKE they refused to make any adjustment and charged me for interest while we disagreed. If it was not for my help (I am an engineer) they would have spent much longer trying to find the problem THEY caused and I found and fixed.
Description of Work: Connected 8' copper pipe , 2 valves and 3' thermostat to connect preinstalled baseboard heater to boiler.
