Beau was very pleasant to have in our home. It seemed like magic each day I would come home from work and I could see the progress but couldn't even smell the paint, and he tidied up so well it was almost like he wasn't there. I would definitely recommend WBD for the outstanding quality and affordable price. Thank you so much for bringing our kitchen back to life!

Terrible job and don't count on any Warranty. Our cabinets didn't get sanded prior to primer coat. Paint started flaking off within a week. We complained, they took cabinet doors back to shop, never sanded a second time and they looked worse the second time. I told Casey they looked like "****" after 2nd attempt. I guess Nick and Casey deemed that as being "Abusive". I am the Construction Manager for a large Developer/Builder here in Denver, so I know Construction very well have have been in the Homebuilding/Construction Industry for 37 years. We have Statements from 3 other Cabinet Refinishing Companies proving Cabs were never sanded before Primer. We are now taking Walls By Design to Court and are currently filing a Lawsuit for Full Refund + Damages. We never asked for a refund initially, we just wanted our Cabinets refinished as Promised. We also had to file an Insurance claim with Walls By Design's Insurance Carrier for damaging the new tile floor we had installed which we won. Our kitchen floor is being refinished today, 2/24/2018. 20 years in business, Walls By Design sure doesnt have many positive reviews on yelp, google, ect. BEWARE, they don't stand behind their work, and if you complain, they just stop taking your calls.

They were really good. They did an excellent job. We wouldn't even know painters were in the house. They were on top of it. They actually walk through the house with you before they leave to make sure that you're happy with everything. Even the sales guy that came out did the job. Price-wise, they were a little higher. But I think I picked them because I thought they would do a better job. When I tried to use them again, for our next house, the bid was too high. The first time we used them it was off season. Because they don't do as many jobs they can bid a little lower to get a job. Whereas when I tried to use them the second time, it was during a peak time. So, the price was higher.

"Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm sorry we were unable to fit in your budget for the new house. We try to keep our overhead as low as possible, but in order to get and keep great painters, we pay the best in the area, and that brings our prices up a bit. Please let us know if we can help you in the future. I'm so glad you had such a good experience the first time."

I have used Walls By Design before and was thrilled with the work Fernando did. He was a perfectionist and wanted to be sure everything was perfect before finishing. We weren't as particular because we were only painting to make our home more presentable for selling, but his style matched ours which is why we had Walls By Design begin the painting for our newly purchased home.Unfortunately, Fernando was not available and someone else was sent instead who does not spend as much attention to detail as we hoped. We scheduled to have the carpets replaced after painting was complete, and we were surprised that doing so didn't amount to a discount in price (no need to tape or use drop clothes in most instances). We still got their other discount for handling furniture and outlet covers ourselves. But here are some of the things that bothered us. Nick went over colors with us and recommended a color scheme that was okay, but didn't wow us. He suggested we go to Guiry's to buy samples to apply and see what we thought. We applied his colors and colors we thought we would like. When we gave him our color choices, he went to Sherwin Williams to buy the paint. This may not sound like a big deal, but we noticed immediately that the sample colors from Guiry's did not exactly match the Sherwin Williams colors. Theirs had a more prominent yellow hue that we were trying to get away from by repainting in the first place. They are supposed to patch holes up to the size of a quarter. After the first coat, I went in and patched what I could find, including a dent the size of a dime. When he returned the next day, he said he normally patches between the first and second coats because it's easier to spot. Well, after all was done and I inspected the job, there were several holes that never got patched. The painting overall was good, but it was a little sloppy in that he didn't cover up a wall mounted flat screen that Nick said they would do. It's only a small mistake, but white paint on black electronics kinda stands out. Also in the closet I had the baseboard removed when I was doing work in there. Although painting of the trim was not contracted for, it would have been nice for the painter to paint the wall down to where the baseboard would have been so that when I install the new baseboard, I wont have to touch up the wall so that the paint meets up with the new baseboard. I also recently discovered walls where he only applied one coat instead of the two I paid for. This is evident with the writing we put on the wall in pencil to indicate to the painter which color he was supposed to apply. How can pencil marks show through two coats? I will tell you, they can't if two coats are really applied. Also, I'm not sure what the painter dropped to damage our door casing, perhaps his ladder falling over, but there was a 3 inch gouge taken out of the casing that I didn't see until after he left. Since the casing was brand new, installed just before the painter arrived, there is no other person who could have damaged it. And lastly, in close quarter detail areas like between the door casing and cabinets, or shelves that come up to the casing, he did not paint it well if at all. So as I said, overall the paint job is fairly good, as is how their production line approach to scheduling and moving jobs through to the point of completion. But when I pay professional prices, $1057 (total price) minus $166.31 (supplies) minus $105.70 (discount) divided by 9 (total hours worked) equals $87 per hour, I expect professional results. I have painted my previous 13 homes by myself and I expect poorer results from myself, an amateur. At $87 per hour, I would like to think that I can expect them to do a better job than me, not worse. But even so, I believe most everybody would be completely pleased with their work, as would I if their price were commensurate to their work.

"Well, I have been into my profile many times, and for whatever reason, have never seen this review. It is now 2 years later, but I was able to look up the project. As for the bait and switch he talks about, on our estimate, it was priced out with Sherwin Williams, and he was given an option to upgrade at an additional $9/gallon. He had selected to NOT upgrade the paint, thus we did paint with SW paint. The fact that a color was selected from a Ben Moore deck is irrelevant. As for pencil marks, they are typically fairly small, and I am sure we did not notice them, however, pencil will bleed through paint, but it takes a while. When it was painted, we could not see it, however, I am sure a few days later it was. We always apply the number of coats we specify. The TV was supposed to be removed. And we don't touch electronics. It's in our contract. There are lots of things I would like to say about this, but I will first say, we just can't make every customer happy, even though we ask EVERY homeowner to look over their project so it looks good. If ____ did not have time to look it over, then, I don't know what to say. Small jobs are bid out at a higher rate, as they are very inefficient. I highly doubt we only put 9 hours into this project. I am sure we had a prep person with Fernando, which would double the amount of hours he was on the project. As for the amount, it was $951.30 after his discounts. Not sure why he would lie about that, but that is what was paid...a very small project for us. As for me (Nick) not wowing them with color selection...what can I say? I can only pick colors based on the information my customers give me and based on the items in the room. I receive a lot of compliments on the colors I have selected over the years, however, now (2016) we send in a color designer to work with all of our customers. But, we still don't get 100% of our customers going with her selections...but LOTS of our customers do, and they really appreciate the assistance. My teams work on an average of 7 projects per week. We strive to work really hard and make all of our customers happy. If we are not communicated with well, I can do nothing baout these little items."

They came when they said prepared with all the color schemes.  They completed the job on time.  We were very pleased with it.
