Murphy Home Inspection

Brian Murphy is the sole certified home inspector/proprietor of Murphy Home Inspections, and quite simply, was fantastic!
My husband and I are not first-time home buyers, so, we had actually arranged for a master plumber and a master electrician to inspect the home at the same time Brian did.  Brian was so educated and knowledgeable about all of the home systems, we probably could have done without the tradesmen, however, we have had very bad experiences with terrible inspectors that have missed major defects that cost us a lot of money in the past, so, we don't regret having all 3 on hand for this purchase, even though Brian was good enough to have covered all of the bases alone, as it turned out.
Brian was thorough, respectful, knowledgeable, and gave a very detailed and easy-to-read report within 24 hours of his visit.  I cannot say enough great things about this inspector.  He tested all of the systems in addition to his visual inspections, and found a cracked roof tile, an air conditioning unit that needs to be looked at, even a window that is missing a spring.  He tested all of the appliances and gave us a lot of extra advice such as where to get our gas fireplace glass professionally cleaned, and to make sure that we put a metal grate in front of it when our baby starts walking, since the glass can get quite hot.  He noted that the water pressure in the house was too high and that we needed a water pressure regulator so that we don't get leaks caused by the excess pressure. 
All-in-all, we were beyond impressed with Brian's expertise and service, and we would use him again for any future purchases, as well as recommend him to any and all of our friends!
