This complaint is directed at LINN STAR TRANSFER, who Home Depot uses to deliver and install appliances. I purchased a range and dishwasher from Home Depot. On June 2, the old countertops were removed along with the faucet and disposal. At that time, the water lines were turned off and capped by Front Range Stone, because the new countertops were to be installed the next day - June 3.
Linn Star delivered the appliances on June 2, but were unable to connect the dishwasher until the new counntertops were installed the next day. Michael, from Linn Star, disconnected the old dishwasher & hauled it away. He DID NOT CAP the water line!
Around 10 p.m., neighbors told me that water was leaking out of the kitchen wall. I had to call a 24 hr. plumber and he charged me $215 to turn the water off & cap the line! He could not believe that the line was not capped!
I filed a complaint with Linn Star. They have DENIED THE CLAIM, stating that Michael said there was not a leak when he left!
Two plumbers, a water restoration company, and Home Depot all said that I should be reimbursed the $215. Michael, at Linn Star was irresponsible in not capping the line.
I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot - as long as they are using Linn Star to deliver and install appliances!!
