Mark was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project.  He met with me in April to discuss the project, during which we also talked about some issues I wanted resolution to that affected the upstairs spaces (heating, plumbing).  He gave me a very competitive estimate, strong references and I selected him to do the project. 
Mark maintained the promised schedule all through the project, putting everything in writing and keeping me informed of every step that was taking place.  He drew up an timeline whereby each phase was completed and paid for as we went along.  Mark accommodated some changes during the project, suggested some modifications, and worked with me to get the finished product I wanted.  I was most impressed that he remembered some of the smaller issues I mentioned in passing before I even hired him & brought those up to determine if I wanted to address them, then provided estimates for degrees of solutions for me to choose from.  His subcontractors were great, very professional and easy to work with. 
I felt I was fully informed throughout the project, particularly since I was not home during much of it.  The work place was always left clean and Mark mitigated the construction mess as much as possible, entering through the basement windows instead of through the house to reduce tracking debris and dirt through the rest of the house.
I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Mark to do whatever construction, remodeling or design work you need done.  He has a ton of experience, is easy to work with and provided me with a strong sense of security that he knew what he was doing and that the job would be done right.  I think I paid a bit more than other contractors would have charged, but it was worth every penny.  The finished product is perfect and has received many, many compliments from my family and friends.
