Ben was great - very knowledgeable.  Spent whatever time was necessary and did not charge us for half the stuff he did.  He knows bikes  and was great to work with.  It was very helpful for me as I have 3 bikes and a bad back so schlepping  them back and forth to the bike shop would have been torture.  I got quotes from the bike shops and they were all 30% higher than Ben quoted so we came out ahead on all counts.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GUY!

We called for tune up on 3 bikes. But our bikes are hard-ridden and needed some repair as well. The bike mechanic, Ben, is very knowledgeable and informative. He spent a good amount of time on all 3 bikes replacing brake pads ($20) and chains ($45) but ran out of time for indepth tuneup; so he did a more general making-everything-work-smoothly-again goingover (which was just fine for us).  For this he charged just 1/2 price. It is evident that Ben enjoys this job. Highly recommend Bike House Call.

Wonderful.  I emailed him and he called me within a day, scheduled the appt at my home.  He spent about 2 hours total.  He did a great job on my bike and it was very convenient not to have to drop my bike off anywhere and pick it up with my currently busy schedule.  He was very throrough in checking out potential problems.
I would definitely use him again for any bike related problems!

I was concerned how I was going to get all of our bikes repaired at the shop and dealing with the rude mechanics I have dealt with in the pass. This is why Bike House Call is a brilliant business. Ben contacted me right away to set up an appointment and since it was early in the season they came right away. Being a novice bike person I assumed they all needed major tune-ups, but it turned out we only needed one major tune-up and the others just needed tweaking. I also told him that he didn't need to do two of the kids bikes, but he felt for safety reasons they should be done even if no one was using them. A few days after Ben left, I knocked over my bike with the car and before he came out he talked it over what could be wrong over the phone and fixed it free of charge. This company is a class act!

Ben was amazing.
He communicated well beforehand, and got a good idea of the bikes' condition and amount of work needed, then planned out a schedule to accomodate that work.
He arrived on time, w/ all his tools, and worked amazingly h****** each of the bikes.  Each bike was over an hour's labor, most of it on a very hot day in or near our garage.
The bikes afterwards were nearly like new - very smooth, all the gears working again, smooth action, no strange clinkings or noises anymore.  Really great service!  We highly recommend them.

Excellent service.  And very fair price.
Ben was very thorough in explaining what he would do.  He did this when he first contacted me and then again when he arrived at our place.  He not only explained the services but also explained the costs up front.
The newer of the two bikes hadn't been ridden much in the last two years and the other bike had been ridden much more over the last ten years.  Ben explained that he had to do more with the newer bike because the tires/wheels were out of alignment.  He explained that this usually happens at the factory.
He also noted that the seat on this bike was very low and wondered how tall was the person who rode it.  He went on to explain how proper seat height would make a world of difference in the amount of effort one would have to exert when pedaling.
Further, and for no charge, he helped adjust an older bike carrier so that it would fit on the newer car.
Ben was knowledgeable, thorough, efficient and very helpful.  I would recommend Ben and Bike House Call without hesitation.

I contacted Bike House Call after hours via email requesting a quote and availability to come out. The next day the assigned mechanic Ben, called to schedule. He said he could come out in a couple days but I was not going to be home until the end of week.

Ben arrived and explained the tune-up process and also wanted to know of any issues I might be having. He spent a little more than an hour in my garage doing the work. He discussed with me the reason I was having issues changing gears and how to avoid future problems now that he fixed it.

Excellent work and highly recommended!

I called on Monday morning, and Sean was willing to come over Monday afternoon.  As I wasn't in a rush we decided on Wednesday afternoon.  Sean replaced the tires and performed a tune up.  He charged the price quoted.  He was also very informative
on proper care for the frame and the tires.  Sean is very knowledgable  and enjoys his work.  He also informed me that my bicycle  and the manual  is now a collectors' item and I should not scrap it.  He was pleasant and easy to work with

i am writing this report several months later so details may not be sharp.
he wasnt certain he could do the repair to the brake caliper mechanism which was mangled in a crash.
when he got to my house and looked it over he manged to put a repair together.
i suggested a tuneup also and we agreed on a price.
overall it was a great experience.
i was the only customer around and got all the attention!
cant ask for a better scenario than that.

Replaced both tires. Then clean an lubed the chain and adjusted the brakes for no charge. This is the second time I used Sean (Bike House Call), and both times Sean did extra tuning or adjustments without charging. When I check his prices against bike stores by my house his prices were the same and in one case a little less, another surprise.
