Basements R Us

We are so pleased with our newly finished basement! The owner George, and his son, Alec, are top notch. Not only did we stay on budget, our project was finished on time! George's pricing is clear and there are no surprises. His "basic" finish options are all good quality. We were able to pick all of our finishes from his "basic" options and not incur higher costs. All of the professionals that he uses (electrical, plumbing, framing, etc) are professional, courteous and offer high quality work. Communication is great and you deal directly with George the entire time. We could't recommend them more! I can't wait to add pictures once we get all of the decor in place!

Basements-R-Us is honestly incredible. They do fantastic work, at a reasonable price, in a surprisingly fast timeframe! George and the team are great to work with as they answer any and all questions and handle as much or as little of the process as you need. They also go above and beyond to make things work out as close to perfect as they can. I honestly could not be more satisfied with how our basement turned out its exactly how we pictured it and more!

I was referred to George and Basements R Us by a friend in Douglas County who said that George was the best contractor he’d ever used. We called up George and set up an appointment to go through our basement finish options and some plans we drew up for discussion. George was incredible. He patiently reviewed all of our plans, made a number of great recommendations we hadn’t thought of, and exhibited incredible knowledge and passion for his craft. We completed our project within our timeline and we used his product recommendations (tile, cabinets, countertops) which are quality products that turned out great. I’m most impressed with the commitment to safety and code. He went above and beyond requirements in a number of instances when he didn’t have to but he did it anyways because it was the right thing to do. For example, electrical work from a prior contractor was upgraded to ensure a safer design. In another example, we installed a custom door and the team upgraded the installation hardware to a better system to ensure a more proper fit, better hold, and longer performance. George thinks two steps ahead and his team builds things for you like he would for his own family.

The team at Basements R Us was amazing from start to finish. George and Alec gathered a highly skilled team that helped make our ideal basement become a reality. They are helpful in assisting with creative solutions from design to helping to solve overall home electrical issues. We appreciated the expert guidance, communication and kindness throughout. So many people who we spoke with had some sort of disastrous experience with remodeling. Not us! If you are looking for quality, attention to detail and a smooth process- look no further. Basements R Us finished our 1313 sq ft basement (967 sq ft finished plus storage) earlier this year, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Six months later, we still are blown away by how well the project went and how beautiful the basement now looks. George was great to work with — he walked us through several floor plan changes before we started, and his team was always friendly and efficient. The whole project took exactly 10 weeks, right on the 8-10 week estimate. The standard options were really good quality, and it was easy to add a few upgrades. We now have a bedroom with a sitting area, a full bathroom, a gym, two big rooms for games and relaxing, and two storage areas. Some of our favorite touches are the stacked stone accent wall, the open stairway with railing cutouts, and the new windows. They make the space feel high-end. We couldn’t be happier with how it all came together. Highly recommend George and his crew if you're looking to finish your basement!
