I left my dog there at 9:00 for grooming. About 10:30 received a call from the veterinarian advising me that the groomer had noticed a "raw spot" under the dogs chin and that it was likely ringworm fungus. The Vet suggested antibiotics. I advised that I had discontinued bringing my animals (2 cats, 1 dog) to Tendercare because service under prior owners had seriously degraded, and that I would take the dog to my new vet for evaluation. Upon retrieving the dog that afternoon the groomer showed me the dime-sized raw spot and said she hoped the dog would be OK. (Hmmmm.... just a fungus... why the sincere expression of concern?) I took the dog to my new vet who said the raw spot was likely the result of being nicked during grooming and that it wasn't ringworm. Indeed, the spot has since healed nicely without antibiotic as recommended by Tendercare. I don't blame the groomer and believe that the wound was truly an innocent mistake. But being contacted by the vet with the misrepresentation that the groomer discovered "ringworm" is unconscionable. Had I received the truth, that the dog had been nicked during grooming, I would have considered returning to Tendercare for veterinary services now that they are under new ownership. But this experience was serious enough that I feel compelled to share my experience so that others may make informed decisions about choosing the right veterinarian.

THE PEOPLE AT TENDERCARE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THEY ALWAYS HAVE MY DOG DONE BEING GROOMED WHEN THEY SAY HE WILL BE AND DO A GREAT JOB. I HARDLY EVER HAVE TO ASK THEM TO REDO SOMETHING ON MY DOG.

THE STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARE VERY LOVING TOWARDS THE ANIMALS AND VERY EMPATHETIC OF CUSTOMER'S NEEDS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

TENDERCARE IN A WONDERFUL FACILITY FOR GROOMING, VET CARE AND BOARDING. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND MY DOG GETS A NOTICE REMINDER WHEN IT IS TIME TO UPDATE SHOTS AND HER WELL VISIT.

THEY GET YOU IN AND OUT. TREATING YOUR DOG OR CAT LIKE FAMILY. VERY GENTLE WHEN THEY GIVE YOUR DOG A VACCINATION SHOT. I WILL ALWAYS TAKE MY DOG AND CAT THERE.
